Coast/Beach
Calm Lagoon waters are perfect for sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, canoeing, windsurfing and wake boarding. Two mins driving, is a sailing club providing lessons and equipment to these activities. 2 mins by car there's Foz do Arelho beaches. While Atlantic Coast is a surfers paradise, right in front is a calm waters vast beach, very suitable for children. 15 mins driving is S.Martinho beach, a unique shell featured bay of calm waters
Golf
Famous number 1 golf course is 30 minutes driving at Praia del Rey, and some other fantastic courses are within the same distance.

Lisbon airport is 50 mins away. A8 motorway is at 6 km distance. Railway station is at 10km. Car hire is essential.
Distances
Foz do Arelho village centre is 1km away, with a number of facilities, superb food restaurants at really amazing prices, bars, pharmacy, mini-market, post office etc. 10 mins driving is the important spa city of Caldas da Rainha, with daily markets of fresh products, vast varied shopping, museums and all modern facilities and amenities. Obidos white medieval town elected the best wonder of Portugal, is 15 mins by car. Lisbon is 1 hour driving and deserves one day visit.
Further details
Silver Coast has so much to offer, from so many fantastic beaches and ancient towns and villages to explore, to the vast varied scenic countryside with an abundance of flora and fauna. Obidos, Alcobaca, Batalha, Mafra, Santarem, Sintra, Evora, Tomar (the Templars City) and Lisbon, are places to emphasize deserve a visit. The nearby traditional fishermen old towns of Peniche and Nazare with their beaches and fresh fish restaurants deserve a visit as well. Baleal, the charming little village located on an isthmus, connected to land by a beach, is another visit to do. The pilgrimage town of Fatima and the natural caves are 1 hour by car. Although Obidos Lagoon is a fantastic asset of Portugal, it is just a piece on the rich natural Silver Coast Heritage. Other activities can be walks along vast beaches and cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. Sample delicious, superb local wines, sea food, traditional Portuguese cuisine and confectionery. In the region there's a number and variety of festivals and events throughout the year. A popular middle age fair in July, a chocolate sculptures festival, a confectionery fair, concerts, summer traditional festivities, etc.
Booking notes
25% deposit on booking with the balance no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival. As the villa is furnished to a very high standard, a security deposit of 750 € is added to the final payment to cover any possible damage; this will be refunded within 7 days after the end of the rental period.

About the owner
My main work is to make computer programs for textile machinery and knitwear collections, for my family’s company. As a partner, I also own a construction company that builds lovely Portuguese traditional houses, all located in rural villages at 30 minutes from Lisbon.
My wife she loves cats, is fluent in several languages and works as a teacher in a High School. We are a couple in our fifties.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
As Silver Coast is a fantastic region ( that we knew very well), we decided to build there our dream property. After discover the land, we found out the place so charming that we decided immediately to buy it and build there the villa of our dreams. We just wanted the best and we did not spare any efforts to achieve our aims. The result was a fantastic villa and an architectural master piece completely turned to the luxury relax, the sun and the views.
