Notes on accommodation
The apartment has its own fully independent Sky satellite dish giving access to hundreds of English channels. All the rooms have toughened safety glass patio sliding doors and the glass on the balconies also. The living room and all bedrooms have a top quality Air-conditioning system installed, there is an optional 25 euro p/w charge for this. We have also provided a Playstation 3 for the kids (and Adults!) to enjoy their video games from home and to play HD Blu Ray Movies. There are very few apartments in the building meaning the pool/barbecue area will never be crowded, indeed a lot of the time you may have it to yourself! We have friends in the building so if you need more apartments for a large group we will be happy to help.
Accessibility
The apartment is all on one level and is accessible by a lift from ground floor. There is a wheelchair ramp into the main building. there are 3 steps to the front door after exiting the lift. The Apartment is on the 2nd floor providing added security.
Outside
Beautifully manicured and private large gardens with nice plants and trees. Outdoor lighting in garden and pool area. Very large pool with separate kids area for exclusive use of apartments in building. Also in the pool area are a shower and 2 BBQ's with power points for guests use. Our own sun loungers are provided for our guests use.
Coast/Beach
The Alvor area is blessed with many beautiful beaches. Praia do Vau and Alvor are about a 20 minute walk. The famous Praia do Rocha is about a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive. Beaches are well maintained and almost all have beachfront restaurant and cafes with toilet facilities. You can hire sunbeds and parasols and enjoy water sports such as jet-skiing on most.
Golf
The Algarve is quite simply golf heaven. There are some fantastic courses here, several in the immediate vicinity such as Alto, Penina, Morgado and Alamos, Palmares, Pinta and Gramacho. There are many more within a short drive of the apartment. I have played most of them and I can advise you on where to play and what to pay. I can help you to organise your golf holiday through local contacts at greatly reduced green fees from the rack rates. There are some lovely courses at great value and there are some special ones also.
Travel
The apartment is 45 minutes from Faro Airport. There is a local bus service that runs every 15 minutes to and from both Alvor and Portimao. Car hire is not essential as taxis in the area are cheap and plentiful, but to explore the Algarves many delights it is recommended.
Distances
Alvor town is within a short walking distance. You can also avail of many taxi's in the area. There is also a bus stop on the main road which goes to Portimao, about 2km away where you will find shopping centres, cinema's etc.
Further details
There are plenty of shops and mini-markets nearby that stock everything you will need on your holiday. There is plenty of entertainment in Alvor, Portimao and Praia da Rocha. Good restaurants, including Por do Sol, are just a short walk away and there are numerous other restaurants in Alvor such as Buganville that cater for all tastes.
There are water sports, ten pin bowling, flying lessons or parachuting. Further afield there are water parks and go-karting. There is a zoo near Lagos. There are 3 banks in Alvor. Adjacent from the apartment you have 2 cafe bars, 2 restaurants, supermarket, hair salon and steak house. Convenient for slide, splash and sea world where you can swim with the dolphins. Large supermarket 10 minutes drive in Portimao. Outlet complex inc. Nike, 40 minutes drive. Water parks within 30-35 minutes. There is also a children's playground across from the apartment. Strictly no smoking.
Booking notes
A booking deposit of €200 is payable by bank transfer or bankers draft. The balance plus €200 damage deposit is payable 8 weeks before departure date. The damage deposit will be refunded shortly after satisfactory inspection of the apartment and Inventory checks. There is a strict no smoking / no pets policy.

Wow what a great holiday! We are a family of 5 and can not recommend this
beautiful apartment highly enough. Great location, great facilities and so big and spacious. Loads for the kids to do and Mum and Dad can relax poolside while the children have a blast in the pool. Alvor is a beautiful town with fantastic food (prawns yum yum!) and a beautiful waterfront area. We have already booked to return. Best wishes to Stuart and family for looking after us so well.
