The Oceanico Amendoeira Faldo Golf Resort is 4 km away. Designed by Nick Faldo with strategic play in mind this 6,604 meters par–72 championship course demands careful positioning to score well.
The Oceanico Amendoeira O'Connor Golf Resort is 4 km away. Perfectly complementing the Faldo Course, whilst taking advantage of the rich valley soil in contrast to the arid hillside, Christy O'Connor Jnr's course at Amendoeira offers no less of a challenge.
Salgados Golf Course is 5km away. The course, a 6080 meters links with many water hazards requires much skill in the approach to the greens, the drive is also essential to achieve good results, making the course pleasant especially for skilled golfers.
Travel
Faro Airport - 50 km (approx 30-40 minute drive).
Lisbon Airport - 260 km (approx 2-3 hours drive).
Car hire is recommended however it is not essential. The owner can provide details of airport transfer companies and local taxi firms.

Owner profile
About the owner
We live in South Wales with our wives and children where we own a building company. We have both always enjoyed the Portuguese way of life when visiting the country so we decided that the time was right to buy our own holiday home. As we both have young children finding the right location was very important. We needed a villa that was close to all local facilities but was somewhere where we could feel like we were totally relaxed. We found our dream villa in 2004 and liked the area so much so that in 2008 we purchased another villa there!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought the villa after many years of searching the Algarve for the perfect location. Armacao de Pera is a beautiful town that has not been over commercialised like many of the other resorts in the area.
Armacao de Pera is within a 30 minute drive from Faro Airport and is very close to Zoomarine and two water parks.
We especially like arriving at the beach early in the morning and watching the fishing boats return with their daily catch.
