All the accommodation is on one level with beautifully furnished roof terrace with panoramic views to the mountains and the sea. There are doors to the garden from the living room, kitchen and bedroom with plenty of covered and uncovered terrace areas for relaxing and sunbathing as well as beautifully landscaped gardens. The villa has been furnished with great care and to a very high standard. Spacious open plan living area and dining room and a well equipped kitchen. Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds (prices available in Euros on request). Please note that (excluding July and August) there will be a charge of £75 per week for pool heating to cover the electricity cost.

Changeover day
We are flexible on changeover day dependent on other firm bookings. You are usually required to vacate the Villa by 10.00 on day of departure but again if we can be flexible we will be.

Kitchen: Very modern kitchen with large walk in larder, black granite worktops, ceramic hob, electric oven and grill with microwave fitted over, fridge freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, breakfast bar. WiFi Broadband Internet access throughout property.
Utility Room: The utility room is located outside the front door with a washing machine, huge boiler (so plenty of hot water) and storage space for golf clubs. Washing line located on roof terrace and can be put down when not in use.
Living Rooms: Lounge with 2 tub chairs, 2 sofas (one is double sofa bed), Sky TV (inc. Sky Sports), DVD, Bose Ipod dock, stereo, doors leading to pool area. Step to dining area with table for 6 and bar stools at breakfast bar, again doors to terrace and pool.

Notes on accommodation
This property is ideal for both couples and children. We really have tried to think of everything you could wish for in a holiday home for both adults and children with air-conditioning and TVs in all the bedrooms. For the adults there are 3 ipod docks so you can bring your ipod and listen to your own music collection in any room. There is also a good selection of books should you run out of reading material - we are happy for people to use this as a 'book exchange service'. For the children we have a selection of DVDs and a toy box. There is a Graco travel cot suitable for babies and you can hire a high chair from our management agent. There is also a bicycle for those of you who wish to get a little exercise! The property has also been equipped with a modern alarm system for your security and the security of your belongings. The alarm system is linked to a call centre with 24 hour staff who can contact the emergency services for you in the unlikely event of them being required.

Outside
The property is accessed via electric gates and is totally enclosed by a stone wall so is very secure for young children. On entering the gates there is a cobbled driveway and car port to the side of the house. There are 2 terraces leading out from the living/dining area - one is equipped with an outside dining table for 6 and the other with an outside sitting area and Weber barbecue. Steps from here lead down to the pool area with 6 comfortable loungers. The pool is 9m x 5m and 1.6m deep at the deep end with pool heating available. From the pool area there are steps to the beautifully landscaped gardens (which are not overlooked) with palm and olive trees among the many plants and trees. At the side of the house you will find a stairway which leads up to the impressive 110sq.m roof terrace with its fantastic views of the Monchique mountains to the North and the Atlantic to the South. Terrace is now beautifully furnished with dining facilities for 6 and a Moroccan day bed.

Coast/Beach
The beautiful golden sandy beach of Meia Praia is a mere 1.5km away, this vast expanse of sand near wraps itself around one of the biggest bays in Europe. The wide bay offers protection from rough seas, which makes this long beach of soft, white sand particularly popular with families. Meia Praia is dotted with snack bars and restaurants and sports on offer include water skiing, paragliding, sailing and volleyball.

Golf
The villa is very close to Palmares Golf Course and Boa Vista and Pennina are only a 10 mins drive away so excellent destination for golfers.
The many courses of the Algarve are at your disposal.

Travel
Lagos is situated approximately 70km/50 minutes from Faro Airport. Car hire is recommended but if you want to get a taxi into the town the cost is only around 6 euros.

Further details
Lagos Marina is a mere 2 minute drive away and has a supermarket, bars, restaurants, ATMs. The town of Lagos is only a 5 minute drive away and has banks, a daily fresh fish market, artisan shops with pottery and clothing bargains and many small craft shops. The historic old town is steeped in over a thousand years tradition. Jugglers, craft markets and artists are common in the cobbled streets. The pedestrianisation of the town centre has been a major success and the town is very lively in the evenings. With its winding streets, it retains an old world Portuguese charm and relaxing atmosphere. The choice of cafes, restaurants and shopping is excellent. At night, Lagos comes alive with open air stalls and street performers. Lagos is particularly beautiful at Christmas time with twinkling lights on every plam tree and various festivals going on throughout December. There is also a fantastic firework display at midnight on New Years Eve

Booking notes
A deposit of £200 per week is required to secure your booking, payable by bank transfer or cheque. The balance will be required 8 weeks prior to arrival. We have a management agent in Lagos who is on hand throughout your stay should you have any problems. A £200 refundable security deposit is also taken at the same time as the balance payment.

For the first time I have no suggestions, we thought the villa was absolutely stunning. It was really well equipped and had everything we needed for the week, we loved it. We also thought it was fantastic that the Villa was cleaned midway through the week, a really nice touch. Hopefully we'll be back to use it again sometime soon. Regards, Francesca. About the owner
We are in our 40's with 2 children, a girl aged 12 and a boy of 8. We went on holiday to Lagos in 2004 and loved it so much ended up buying an apartment in the Marina. In 2008 we decided that whilst we loved the marina apartment it was time to find something that offered us a little more space and flexibility of living accommodation and wanted the privacy of our own private pool. We view the house very much as a second home and visit it several times a year which is why we have furnished it to such a high standard and with so many items you would not find in your average holiday home; you can also be assured that standards will be maintained. Why the owner chose a home in this location
We find that Lagos has lots to offer for all of us. My husband loves the great choice of golf courses (Palmares currently being extended), huge choice of restaurants and bars, marina, surfing and the new motor racing track. I love the weather, the beaches, the shopping (both in Lagos and at the various retail parks along the highway), the relaxed atmosphere, the history of the old town and of course the unbelievable choice in restaurants. My daughter loves the swimming pool, the beaches, dolphin seafaris, the water parks, the shopping, the ice cream parlours! My son loves the water parks, the zoo, the beaches, swimming, boat trips, sports shops and just about everything.

Unique benefits of the property
Modern property which has been decorated to a very high standard with TVs in every room, DVD library, Ipod docks, full Sky TV package including Sports, fully equipped kitchen, dining table for 6 (but can squeeze 8), selection of reading books. Outside you have a beautiful enclosed garden, the heated pool, elegant outside dining furniture and armchairs on terrace and 6 sun loungers around pool. Wonderful views of sea and mountains from the fantastic roof terrace with some very luxurious furniture including a Moroccan day bed. 5 minute drive to beach, marina, old town of Lagos and Palmares golf course, so perfectly situated and if you want to have a few drinks it only costs around 6 euros in a taxi. Truly everything you could wish for!
