For the winter months, under floor heating is available at an additional cost of £120 per week.
Accessibility
Very sorry but due to the nature of where the villa has been built (on a hillside), there are many external steps, so it may not be suitable for less mobile guests.
Outside
Private 8 x 4m pool. 1m shallow end to 2m in the deep end. Five private terraces from the roof down to the poolside. Large tables on two terraces seating 8. BBQ on lower terrace. Plenty of sunbeds and chairs, pool and beach umbrellas. Pool can be heated at an additional cost of £150 per week.
Coast/Beach
Access to the wonderful large, clean, sandy beaches are a short 30 minute drive away. Many wonderful beaches to choose from.
Golf
Many wonderful golf courses accessible within a 25 - 45 minute drive from the villa. The closest golf course would be Benamor near Tavira.
Travel
The villa is approximately a 30 minute drive from Faro airport.
Alternatively you could fly to Seville which would take approximately an hour and a half to reach the house.
Distances
Santa Catarina is approx 2 miles away and Sao Bras is approx 5 miles away (banks, supermarkets, chemists, bars, restaurants).
The lovely fishing town of Tavira is approx 15 miles away.
Spain is approx 30 minute drive away from the house once on the A22.
Loule for the Saturday market takes approx 40 minutes to reach.
Vilamoura for the marina, crazy golf, golf, is about a 45 minute drive.
Vale do Lobo is also a 45 minute drive.
Go carting (outdoor) at Almancil is approx 40 minutes.
Further details
For bird lovers and star gazers, the location of the villa presents you with some wonderful opportunities to spot sights that you would be hard to find in the UK.
Very little light pollution making it fabulous to see the stars at night.
For those of you that Bowl, we have a local club that are always happy for international matches
Excellent Golf Courses within a 30-40 minute drive
Spanish border only a 30-40 minute drive away. Seville in 1.5 hours ..... Grenada in 5 hours

About the owner
I am a single mother with two teenage daughters. I work full time and when I get the opportunity, I love to spend long weekends at my house on the Algarve
I play league Badminton in the winter and also play golf when I get the time and opportunity.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
In 1999 I stood at the top of a hill and looked out at the view across the valley. It was spectacular. Very peaceful. Beautiful. It was at this time that I signed up to have a beautiful house built into the side of this hill.

Local towns are only a few minutes drive away, and the beautiful beaches are within a 30 minute drive away.
You can always get a taxi to the nightlife is you decide to indulge a little. Otherwise, you can relax and enjoy a calming experience at the house and at night,enjoy the fantastic star gazing when the skies are clear.
