Definitely different, honeymooners delight! Peaceful, central to all amenities. We found that everyone who came to see our cottage said wow it's just lovely. We're in the middle of paradise and so close to everything, the Famous Algarve Shopping 2 mins away with restaurants cinema bowling and largest supermarket. Beaches, the best, 6 minute drive away, small coves and endless sands, this area has them all. Albufeira, most popular resort in Algarve is just 4 miles away. Take a country walk past Cliff Richards home (his vineyards join on to our land) into Guia famous for chicken piri piri. Please see additional photos on 'owner's website'.

Changeover day
Fairly flexible for changeover day. Vacation of cottage depends on arrival of next guests 11.00am is the earliest but will do my best to let you stay longer!
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Master bedroom with king size bed and double pull out sofa bed. Possible to sleep four. |
| Bathrooms: | Both bathrooms upstairs and downstairs are stone/tiled, very arty. Huge walk in shower wc/bidet and stone wash basin. Downstairs bathroom has a washing machine. Bathrooms are really difficult to capture on camera, lots of character, powerful shower. |
| Kitchen: | Gas cooker, extractor fan, large fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster etc. |
| Living Rooms: | Consists of two comfortable sofas, to seat 5 people. Antique writing desk. TV with Portuguese and English channels. Large coffee table. CD player. Wood burner. The lounge is really cozy with soft lighting at night, sunny during the day. |
| Other: | From the lounge you have access to a private garden and BBQ (back entrance) and to the front of the cottage view of the lawn and pool, lots of space to sunbathe, walk and relax, with more seating areas in the sun and shaded under the trees. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen changed once a week, more on hand if needed. Please note that beach towels are not provided. |

Wood burning stove in living room which heats all cottage in the cooler winter months. Air-conditioning/heating from October 2009. Mosquito nets provided.

Outside
Private garden with sun loungers, table and chairs, real sun trap. Own BBQ and country views. This cottage is situated with 5 acres of unruly land great for walkers, peaceful paradise great to get away from it all! Owners also live on this country estate. 8 metre pool directly infront of the cottage, all one level so no deep end, much better for pool games and relaxing. Lots of space to sunbathe by the pool with different areas for sun or shade really beautiful.
Coast/Beach
Quiet coves, caves and immense sandy beaches 6 min drive.
We really do have the best beaches so near...You could go to a different one everyday...absolute bliss.
Golf
With Albufeira being so central it is an ideal base for golf enthusiasts. Most of the famous courses both east and west are within a 30 minute drive allowing for a superb variety of year-round golfing. Salgados, Silves and Gramacho are about a 10-15 minute drive. Salgados is located in the middle of a lovely nature reserve, so has plenty of natural lagoon water hazards to negotiate. Carvoeiro (2 courses) and Penina (3) are 15-25 minutes' drive west and the 11 international courses at Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago, and Vale de Lobo are about 25 minutes' drive east. The new luxury Amendoeira golf resort with 2 championship courses designed by Nick Faldo and Christie O’Connor is about a 10 minute drive from Guia.
Travel
Car hire recommended. Faro Airport 25 minute drive.
Distances
Guia is our local village just 1 mile away 15- 20 minute pleasant walk down country lanes.Guia is famous for it's spicey chicken known as 'piri piri' so lots of restaurants with meals to suit all tastes.Guia is also home to Sir Cliff Richard..
The famous Zoo Marine and water parks are close by.
For shopping and entertainment the Algarve Shopping (largest centre in Algarve) is 2 miles away. Albufeira, most popular resort in Algarve for night life, fishing etc is 4 miles away.

Our village 'Guia' has a couple of supermarkets, coffee shops, bars, restaurants,newsagents,banks and the football club has a great sunny terrace perfect for those lazy afternoons, just 15/20 minute stroll from here. Also free internet in Guia during the day.

This place exudes romance and peacefulness and and we loved having it to come "home" to after our daily excursions. From Gonzalo's art on the wall to your charmingly rustic bathrooms.
