"Casa do Pintor" is the perfect holiday destination, a combination of total relaxation, with everything close by.The best blue flag beaches are just a 6 minute drive away, endless sands, small coves, with rock pools, fabulous beach bars & restaurants.The Algarve Shopping Centre, near by has a huge supermarket, shops, restaurants, cinema and bowling. The Zoo Marine to see the dolphins, and water parks are enjoyed by all. Albufeira is a must - bars, nightlife, fishermen's beach and many restaurants just a 10 minute drive away. From "Casa do Pintor", take a 20 minute country walk past Cliff Richards home (his vineyards join on to our land) into Guia famous for chicken "piri piri". Guia is our local village with lots to offer,more than 20 restaurants to suit all tastes, banks, bar, hairdresser local market for fresh fish, newsagents, coffee shops etc. Please see additional photos on 'owner's website'.

Cottage:- Prices are for the property for 2 people per week.
25 euros extra per person per day. 5% discount on all bookings for 2 weeks. 10% discount on 3rd week.
Villa:- Prices are for 6/8 people per week.5% discount on all bookings for 2 weeks. 10% discount on 3rd week.
Air-conditioning is included but excess unnecessary use will be charged for.
Changeover day
Fairly flexible for changeover day. Vacation depends on arrival of next guests.To be vacated by 10.00am, but will do my best to let you stay longer! To prepare for your arrival, check in 3.00pm.

| A Country Villa offering you tranquility away from the crowds. The Villa is unique and not your usual holiday accommodation.This spacious villa has many different areas to dine,sit,relax and unwind with a view from every window.We spent 3 years looking for this ideal location and it was carefully built with love and care for good family living, it oozes character,has vibrant colours,lots of natural sun light and there is nowhere like it anywhere! Amazing b.b.q. and table with pool view.Enormous well equipped kitchen. Separate split level lounge with dining area. Downstairs bathroom with shower and stone wash basin. Upstairs: Bathroom with bath and overhead shower, bedroom 1 & 2 have a single bed which pulls out to a comfortable double bed. Bedroom 3 has two single beds. Bedroom 4 is the master bedroom with an amazing view from a floor to ceiling window, king size bed,en-suite bathroom and own dressing room, and a private terrace.Bedroom 1 has a huge terrace with a fabulous view. | |
Notes on accommodation
The Cottage. Wood burner in the living-room to heat the cottage in the cooler months, also air-conditioner hot/cold in the bedroom. The Cottage has lots of delicate touches and open plan areas which are not suitable for baby and toddlers. Fabulous private garden which lies to the back of the property with sun loungers, BBQ, a real sun trap,as the sun rises on this side. Guests are always surprised by this area, very cozy just for you! The Cottage and Villa are separated by 2 utility rooms, courtyard and BBQ and very thick walls! The Cottage and Villa can be booked seperately or together.

Fabulous...we have now lived here for 13 years and everybody is blown over by this fabulous location, the photos don't do it justice!!

Linen changed once a week, towels twice a week, beach towels not provided.

Car rental is recommended for this property, and is not appropriate for wheelchair users. Private parking for all cars.
Outside
Set within 5 acres, totally private, peaceful paradise, great to get away from it all! The birds will come and the goats will pass by in the neighbouring fields. Stress free. Round 8 metre pool with magnificent views, all one level so no deep end, much better for pool games and relaxing. Please note that the pool is open to enjoy the views and there is no surrounding walls which would spoil the effect. Lots of space to sunbathe by the pool with different areas for sun or shade, really beautiful. So if you would like everything close by and yet be away from it all this is the place to be. Owners also live on this country estate.
Cottage and Villa share pool. For beach lovers...6 minute drive to lots of beaches ...everyone different all fabulous and so near!
Coast/Beach
Quiet coves, caves and immense sandy beaches 6 min drive.
We really do have the best beaches so near...You could go to a different one everyday...absolute bliss.
We have travelled world wide and have now lived here in Portugal for many years , we spend our summers on the beaches, all close by, many "blue flag" and not so crowded as more central ones. Coastal walks, romantic restaurants and water sports...
why go anywhere else?
Golf
With Guia being so central it is an ideal base for golf enthusiasts. Most of the famous courses both east and west are within a 30 minute drive allowing for a superb variety of year-round golfing. Salgados, Silves and Gramacho are about a 10-15 minute drive. Salgados is located in the middle of a lovely nature reserve, so has plenty of natural lagoon water hazards to negotiate. Carvoeiro (2 courses) and Penina (3) are 15-25 minutes' drive west and the 11 international courses at Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago, and Vale de Lobo are about 25 minutes' drive east. The new luxury Amendoeira golf resort with 2 championship courses designed by Nick Faldo and Christie OConnor is about a 10 minute drive from Guia.

Our village 'Guia' has coffee shops, bars, restaurants, newsagents, banks and the football club has a great sunny terrace perfect for those lazy afternoons, just 20 minute stroll from here. Also free internet in Guia during the day. Please note that during your stay should you require any help we do speak Portuguese and English.
