House (traditional architecture) located in a historic and authentic neighbourhood (peaceful and safe location). 2 minutes walk from the city centre (Roman Bridge and Riverside), with a beautiful terrace and view over the city and historical centre. The house architecture respects the traditional construction techniques that distinguish the main features of the urban structure, for instance: the four water roofs (it is a unique building method in the region, used only in this city, which contributes to a unique style in city architecture). The reixa doors (a technique that dates back to the 12th century, when the moors lived in the Algarve). The decoration style respects the local artisans' works and materials. 5 minutes walk from the ferry stop to the unspoilt beach of Tavira Island (10 minutes trip) located in the heart of the most incredible natural reserve – Ria Formosa. Near golf courses, the closest one is Benamor, 5 minutes driving. Ideal for two to four people.

Further details
'Unique experiences.' Tavira has a magnificent atmosphere with an oriental touch. Your list of must-sees surely includes a visit to the architectural heritage of this city. The castle, which is Muslim in origin, and the Santa Maria church, adapted from an old mosque, constitute the most representative Islamic monuments. The city also focuses its cultural strategy on contemporary culture, arts, events and gastronomy. Try locally made wine and olive oil, in a Mediterranean climate where the smells and flavours from the Earth abound in tradition. Nearest restaurants and traditional shops are 50 metres from the house location.
