Changeover day
Please note that bookings are usually made on a basis of 6.00 pm Saturday on arrival - 11.00 am Saturday on departure, to allow time for cleaning the villa, but these times and days can be flexible if necessary provided they are not in peak season.

Notes on accommodation
Long term winter rentals are welcome and the price for a minimum 3 week stay is discounted to £300 per week plus additional £50 for utilities. Single weekly rentals in winter are priced at £500. The swimming pool is cleaned twice a week during summer, but weekly in the winter months. In the lounge, there is a wood burning fire and two gas fires for holidays in cooler weather, and two additional fans for the summer. There is also a small library of books and children's toys and games. Car parking is available both outside the villa, and also inside on the shady drive. The local manager lives nearby.

Pets not allowed, suitable for elderly or infirm, children welcome, wheelchair inaccessible.
Outside
Lovely Mediterranean garden with outside lighting, a new poolside BBQ and private swimming pool lit at night, twice weekly services maid/gardener/pool attendant. Jasmine, honeysuckle, bougainvillea, vines and many other climbing plants, cover garden walls and fences giving both privacy and many shady areas, with lemons, figs and herbs to pick, if you wish. Both garden gates have locks and a tall evergreen hedge of pink and white oleander bushes at the front, screens the villa and front garden.
The un-heated private outdoor swimming pool is L-shaped, the length is 10 metres, the width is 7 metres at the shallow end and 4 metres at the deep end with wide tiled steps leading into the shallow end which is 0.95 metre deep (water depth), gently graduating to a maximum depth of 1.95 metres (water depth). Coast/Beach
It is a 5 minute stroll from Villa Casasol to the Ria Formosa Lagoon giving easy access to the ferries to Cabanas Island - a blue flag, guarded beach with sunloungers and umbrellas (in season) which is known as a good, clean beach, which shelves gently into the Atlantic Ocean. A child friendly wooden walkway along Cabanas seafront, built this year, has shaded seating and evening lighting and is ideal for enjoying an evening stroll to watch the sun setting over the beautiful lagoon.

Benamor Golf Club, 18 Hole Par 71. Within 5 minute drive of the Villa! Quinta Da Cima And Quinta Da Ria Vila Nova de Cacela, 18 Hole Par 72. 10 minutes drive. Castro Marim Golf Club Sitio do Lavajinho, 18 Hole Par 72. Colina Verde Golf Club Sitio da Maragota, 9 Hole Par 28. Each club has a driving range, putting green, pitching area, trolleys, buggies, caddies, club hire, pro-shop, restaurant and bar.

Car hire recommended. Faro Airport is approximately a 46 minutes drive to Villa Casasol at Cabanas de Tavira on either the IP1 or N125.

Villa Casasol is 500m walk to the beautiful Ria Formosa Sea Lagoon at Cabanas, fishing boats and access by fisherman’s ferry boat to miles of golden sandy beach that shelve gently into the Atlantic Ocean. The lagoon is ideal for beach BBQs, bird watching, fishing, digging for cockles and country walks along the shore. The bustling old town of Tavira, with its Roman Bridge, castle, daily market, attractive gardens, shops, restaurants and river trips is 10 minutes drive or explore the coast and Faro for sightseeing and shopping via the regular bus and train services. The islands of Tavira, Armona, Culatra and Faro are beautiful to visit as is the natural park at Quinta do Marim. Perhaps a visit to Vila Real de San Antonio for shopping, deep sea fishing or a boat trip upstream on the Guadiana River maybe fun, or even a day trip to Spain! Not forgetting the fascinating inland towns of Loule and Silves, especially on market day to hunt for copper and leather souvenirs. Local activities include surfing, swimming, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, golf, wind-surfing, water skiing. Other activities: Faro: shopping, sightseeing. Tavira: disco. Monte Gordo: casino. Cabanas: bars/cafes. Local sea lagoon: jet skiing; bird watching; fishing.
Booking notes
Completion of reservation form and 25% Deposit of total cost of holiday on booking plus £100 refundable security deposit. Six weeks before your holiday the balance is due. Two weeks before your holiday the keys are sent to you by next day guaranteed post. £100 refundable deposit returned to you approximately 10 days after your holiday provided the villa is left clean and tidy, without damage or loss and the keys are returned.
