Our stylishly furnished 3 double bedrooms, 2-bathroom ground floor apartment sleeps 6 people comfortably. Our ground floor position means easy access to condominium's garden and swimming pools. Our apartment is uniquely designed with an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area, featuring an expansive, granite breakfast bar top. The kitchen is very well-equipped being keen cooks ourselves. One of our favourite things to do when we are in Nazare is to buy fresh seafood from the local market and have a barbecue on the roof terrace of the condominium, sipping port whilst drinking in views of the Atlantic. Nazare's seafood cuisine is a definite highlight (the octopus salad is to die for!) Nazare is ideal for families with its stunning beaches, furnicular, adventure water park, boating, surfing, fishing and hiking on well-established trails through aromatic pine forests and stunning coastline.

Notes on prices
Prices are in euros for the property per week.
Discounts available for long winter lets, multi-apartment rental, returning guests and advanced booking of 6 months or more. Please note that pricing is all inclusive except for November to March when utilities will be charged separately.
Security deposit of 200 euros is required in all periods except for Christmas and New Year when we ask for a 500 euro deposit. This deposit is fully-refundable.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with queen bed, 2 side tables and lamps and plenty of wardrobe space.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds, 1 side table and lamp. Can fit 1 more single bed.
Bedroom 3 with 1 single bed and 1 trundle bed, with further space for cot or single mattress.
Bathrooms: Modern bathroom with power shower, washbasin with mixer tap, wc and bidet.
Second bathroom with bath/shower over, wc, bidet, washbasin with mixer tap and storage.
Both bathrooms have heated towel rails.
Kitchen: Spacious open plan kitchen with lovely granite counter top and 3 bar stools looking into lounge. Oven, 4 ring hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, 4 slice toaster, iron/ironing board and hand blender.
Living Rooms: DVDs, games and children's toys are stored in the second and third bedrooms and guests are welcome to use them.
Other: Brick-built barbecues on condominium grounds and rooftop available for use.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Bedlinen and towels, but not beach towels, are provided. Cleaning is provided before and after use. Additional cleaning can be arranged at an extra charge upon request.

 

Notes on accommodation
Strictly no smoking in the apartment and no pets please.
This is a family-friendly apartment so we have everything a family with young children would need. Travel cot can be provided at no extra cost upon request. Please note that pools will not be open in the off-peak months which are from mid-October to 1 May.

Accessibility
We recommend car hire.Access to the apartment itself is up a short flight of stairs and unsuitable for wheelchair users.

Outside
Large enclosed private patios to front and rear of apartment. The front patio has a lockable gate leading down to the pool area, making it safe for children. Shared swimming pool and children's pool are set in a garden area with pretty flower beds, fenced and gated for safety. Outdoor pool showers, sun loungers and seating around pools. Traditional brick-built barbecues with seating are located at ground level with additional barbecues on the open roof terraces. Private, free parking available to front and rear of apartment complex.

Coast/Beach
Nazare's beaches are considered by some, Portugal's best. The main beach - 8 miles of golden sand, is a 10 minute walk downhill from the apartment. North of Nazare are many other beautiful and more secluded beaches, all worth exploring. A popular beach for families with young children is the Obidos Lagoon at Foz da Arelho which is 30 mins away.

Golf
Praia D'el Ray and Golden Eagle golf courses are of championship standard, and are both under 45 minutes drive from Nazare.

Travel
Lisbon Airport 1 hour drive.
Porto Airport 2:30 hours drive.
Faro Airport 3 hours drive.
Major motorway links from all 3 airports make access to Nazare straightforward. Car hire is recommended.

Distances
15 mins away from Nazare, the spa town of Caldas da Rainha has an excellent daily fruit and vegetable market. The monastery at Alcobaca, where construction began in 1178, is a World Heritage site and just 10 min drive. Other attractions include Fatima, a 50-min drive, Batalha, a 30-min drive and Sintra, a 40-min drive.

Further details
Nazare has a daily market as well as a bigger Friday market where you will find the day's catch. There are many small local shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, banks and a post office. Leisure activities in the area include golf, walking, mountain biking, sailing, canoeing, fishing, surfing and horse riding. The largest, best-stocked supermarket in the vicinity is Modelo, a short 5-minute drive away. There are many smaller stores even closer.

Booking notes
A 20 per cent deposit will be charged when you book. The remaining 80 per cent - plus a standard refundable £150 security deposit against damages and breakages - will be charged 30 days before the start of your holiday.

Guest comments
We just got off a long flight from Singapore and were delighted by the beautiful and very comfortable apartment. The place is very modern with flat screen TV and DVD player. And if you think the DVD player is a waste of time because you didn't bring any with you - there is a big DVD library in the second bedroom. All the rooms are very sunny and spacious though our favourite room is the patio overlooking the pool. We spent hours sipping wine and basking in the sun while watching the children play in the pool - Kenneth and Noreen, Singapore
