Very beautiful apartment in the centre of Lisbon with a nice view over the city. Integrated in a very typical area near some of the most important monuments of this beautiful city. Within walking distance from Rossio, Elevador da Glória, Elevador da Lavra, Teatro D' Maria II, 'Baixa' shopping area. Two minutes from the subway and from Rossio train station. Furnished in a very modern and comfortable style with everything you'll need for a perfect holiday. Linens, towels, Portuguese network mobile phone, kitchen equipment and some ingredients (coffee, tea, sugar, salt, rice, spaghetti, etc) included. You wont have to go shopping as soon as you arrive, everything you'll need will be there for you (detergents, toilet paper, napkins, etc). We also have Fado CDs and city guides. Transfers from/to airport and tours through the country by car can be arranged for an extra fee. Travel guide services within Lisbon can also be arranged. Lisbon is a dream city, made all the better by staying in Luciano's awesome apartment hidden amongst the best of central Lisbon, but quaint enough to make you feel at home and away from the bustling city. Everything you need, including 2 very warm and generous hosts who have added little touches i've never come across before in other rented apartments. Cool, light and breezy space furnished in a vibrant and relaxed way. Best value I've found on my 2 month journey through Europe. Thx again Luciano and Dulce!

About the owner
I've lived in Lisbon since I was born. Me and my wife both work in a software company located on the north part of the city next to the beautiful Tagus river. We have 2 children. We are renting the Pena apartment since July 2008 and all our guests were thrilled with it.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
The Pena neighborhood, where our property is located, has a privileged location within the city of Lisbon. We are practically in the center of the city, literally 2 minutes walking from Rossio and yet on a very quiet and calm area where you can rest at the end of the day and prepare next day's activities in this city full of secrets to uncover.
We have lots of lovely small typical restaurants next to the apartment where you can have a delicious meal of Portuguese food but you'll not be disturbed by a frenetic nightlife as for example in Bairro Alto, which, by the way you can reach easily on foot if you are looking for a nice bar to have a drink or to listen to the Fado.
Unique benefits of the property
From our property you can reach most of the city's icons, monuments and interesting and charming places just by walking. For places further away you can just catch the subway, tram, bus of train in Rossio. For example, you can reach the amazing city of Sintra on a direct train from the Rossio station in about 30 minutes. Or you can get yourself to the beach in 40 minutes. You have excellent small traditional restaurants at your door, not the expensive touristic ones you can find at Rossio but the neighborhood restaurants that we local people go to. You are next to, but not into some of the busiest historical neighborhoods of Lisbon, conerning nightlife: Bairro Alto and Alfama; close enough to walk there but far enough to have a quiet rest at night.
