Front door opens into an open plan living/kitchen and dining room with log fire. Extensively equipped and furnished and with underfloor heating if offers great accommodation for winter or summer holidays. Bedroom twins or King please request which when booking, built in cupboard, TV, Views over valley, bathroom with bath shower, WC, bidet. Upstairs further bedroom with double bed, built in Wardrobe, ceiling fan, TV, doors to roof terrace. Bathroom with shower WC and basin. Next door is ‘A Ruina Vehla (sleeps 1-2) has steps leading straight into the open plan kitchen/living room, of this sympathetically restored cottage, fully equipped and with a lovely open fire, as well as (air-con or heat).Bedroom with King or twins, bathroom with bath, shower, WC, bidet. Small terrace with steps that lead up to a beautiful south facing private spacious roof terrace.

We can accept cheques, bank transfer in both GBP and Euros.
A security/damage deposit of £300 for Casa Verde and £250 for Ruina Velha will be required to secure a booking.

Notes on accommodation
Being located so near to Amado, famous for its spectacular surfing and also to Bordeira with its beautiful lagoon, Vilarinha is the perfect place to holiday to achieve the best of rural location with activities on your doorstep.
Carrapateira the nearest town just 5 mins drive away has everything from casual bars and cafes to wonderful traditional restaurants catering for all tastes. A regular market and a village shop that sells every thing & a cash point. There is a large international supermarket at Budens 15 minutes.
The town of Vila do Bispo is 12 minutes drive & has banks many more Restaurants a further 2 small supermarkets a Lidol, Chemist, Post Office.
Pethralva 3 km has a rustic organic Pizza Restaurant.
The Village of Bordeira a 3km walk along dirt tracks or a 4.5km road drive has a small local bar that sometimes does local dishes.
one Restaurant you shouldnt miss is Sito do Forno overlooking the sea where the fishermen launch their boats between Amado & Bordeira Beach.
Accessibility
Owing to steps leading to the front doors of both these properties and the uneven floors and steps inside we do not feel either of these cottages are suitable for people with mobility problems, we also feel they are unsuitable for young children.
Outside
Both Casa Verde and A Ruina Vehla are approached by steps and have a terrace overlooking the valley these cottages lend themselves to being rented together or individually. A Ruina Vehla also benefits a large sunny roof terrace and Casa da Oliveira has its own small private enclosed terrace leading from the upstiars bedroom.
Both cottages share a tiered paved area planted with a perfusion of herbs.
Coast/Beach
Amado beach, famous for its surfing is 3km away amidst the Nature Reserve this is a vast golden sand beach with 2 Surfing schools & 2 beach bars. Surfers come from all over the world to surf here & the international surfing competion was held here a few years ago.
Bordeira beach with a lagoon surrounded by Sand Dunes is a vast spectacular beach & is never crowded.
Between the 2 beaches is Sito do Forno a wonderful Restaurant with fantastic fish and views.
Golf
Parque Floresta Golf Cource is within an easy 15 minutes drive and we can offer a discount card for these facilities. There is also available at Parque Floresta - tennis, bowles, archery a swimming pool, gym and health spa.
Travel
Faro airport is aprox 1 hour 30 mins drive away. Most airports will offer direct flights to this destination and we recommend car hire. Lisbon airport aprox 2 hours 30 mins.
Distances
Carrapateira is approx 3km - 5 mins drive away, for eating and shopping.
Lagos approx 25 mins drive away, large beautiful city for sightseeing. A host of restaurants and shops. Many activities available from the harbour including boat and fishing trips.
Vila de Bispo 12 mins drive.
Aljezur 35 mins drive.
Pethralva 3 km Bordeira 3 km walk or 4.5km by road. Martinal beach for windsurfing and kyacking 20 minutes. Horse rideing and carraige driveing 15 minutes. Donkey rideing 5 minutes.
Further details
Carrapateira offers a selection of shops including 2 bakeries, cafes and restaurants, surf shops and a market.
Vila de Bispo has banks, Post office, chemist & other useful services. Large supermarket at Budens about 20 mins drive away.
Booking notes
On reservation we require a deposit of £300 for Casa Verde and £250 for A Ruina Vehla. This can be paid by cheque or bank transfer in Euros, UK Pounds or Dollars 12 weeks before the start of the holiday we require full payment. Although we prefer to rent for a minimum of 7 nights we will consider for less but these may be subject to an additional charge.
