Villa Periquita is a very spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa. Situated in Vale da Telha which is set in the Costa Vincentina National Park. The villa is in a particularly pretty location, overlooking the lake and with views across to Monte Clerigo beach and the coast. The house has its own pool with a large pebble and grass garden. Covered terrace with BBQ and plenty of room for sunbathing. The house is in a particularly quiet spot, with very little passing traffic. A 5 minute drive will take you to Monte Clerigo beach and 7 minutes to Arrifana beach. Local bars and restaurants are a few minutes drive or 10-12 minutes walk, as is the local supermarket. Aljezur town is 8km away. There is a daily fresh produce market here and on Saturdays there is a farmers market. There are also banks, chemists, food shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. There is a castle and many other historical buildings in the town that are worth visiting. The villa is 1 hour 20 minutes drive from Faro airport.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. However we would like to keep bookings as close together as possible in the summer season.

| Bedrooms: | Master bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room. Views over the lake. Bedroom 2 is very spacious with bunkbeds and fitted wardrobes. Bedroom 3 is also very spacious and has a double bed and fitted wardrobes. |
| Bathrooms: | En-suite shower room to the master bedroom with shower, toilet, bidet, washbasin and heated towel rail. Family bathroom with bath, toilet, bidet, wash basin and heated towel rail. |
| Kitchen: | Kitchen has an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, toaster, Iron and Ironing board. Door leading out to covered terrace and BBQ and outdoor sink. |
| Living Rooms: | Large L-shaped lounge/diner with sofa and armchairs, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo, dining table and chairs. Patio doors leading to the covered terrace and pool. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The villa is cleaned prior arrival and on departure. Fresh towels and bedlinen are supplied weekly. If you require extra linen or cleaning it can be arranged at an extra cost. |

Accessibility
Please note that there are steps leading to the front of the house and these may pose a difficulty for the very infirm.
Outside
Large pebble garden with grassed area for children and sunbathing. Good size swimming pool, private for sole use of clients. Brick built covered BBQ area with sink and food preparation area. Covered terrace.
Coast/Beach
From the villa you can see the coast at Monte Clerigo. It is a 5 minute drive to this beach. There are several cafes. It is situated in a very large sandy bay which is never crowded. The beach is at its best at low tide when you can walk along the bottom of the cliffs and see the fantastic rock formations and pools. Arrifana beach is 7-8 minutes drive. Set in a pretty bay. This is the surfers beach. Boards can be hired here and lessons booked. There's a good selection of bars and restaurants.
Golf
The nearest golf course is in lagos which is a 30 minute drive from the house. There are also many other courses along the coast.
Travel
Faro airport is 1 hour 20 minutes drive. You can also fly in to Lisbon airport. We would strongly recommend that you rented a car. There is so much to see in this region that it would be a shame to miss. We can arrange car rental for you. Prices start at 105 euros per week for a 5 door hatchback. Distances
Aljezur is 8km from the house. Approx 15 minute drive. Lagos which is a large resort town on the south coast is a 30 minute drive.
Further details
Well worth a visit is Lagos. Several beaches, a marina and shops and restaurants. Also there is the old town with its winding cobbled streets and the Golden Church and the old Slave market. Also don't miss Mount Monchique. This is the highest peak in the Algarve. It has spectacular views of the Algarve coastline. The town is very picturesque with shops selling local crafts and foods. Also, Caldas de Monchique, which is the source of the Monchique natural spring water. There are beautiful walks along the tree lined stream up to the source. There is also a famous spa here.
Booking notes
A deposit of £150.00 must be made to confirm the booking. This amount will be held until the day following departure against any damage or breakage's at the property. Obviously we don't mean the odd cup or glass. The full cost of you holiday must me made six weeks prior to arrival. The payment must be made by cheque made payable to C & VA Smith and sent to Monte do Limas, Lentiscais, Paderne 8200-483, Albufeira, Portugal.
