'Casa Do Bengado' is situated between the towns of Tavira and Sao Bras within a small rural farming community. The surroundings offer a relaxed atmosphere, living with the locals, away from the tourist areas. Great countryside for walking and exploring. The area is popular with cyclists and walkers. The local bars and restaurants are fantastic value and serve typical Portuguese food. The eastern Algarve has beautiful beaches, many on the local islands, accessed by ferry or water taxi. The property is within the grounds of the main house with private access via electric gates. The accommodation is set on two levels. An upstairs veranda has views of the lovely surrounding countryside. The house is decorated in a fresh modern style. There is a private barbeque and seating area for alfresco cooking and dining.

Towels and linen included (please bring extra towels for beach/pool). Beds and towels changed weekly. Property cleaned at end of each stay - there is an "end cleaning" charge of 30 euros. |

Outside
The house is set in extensive gardens with a private barbecue and seating area. The swimming pool is 9m x 4m with sunbathing area and a shaded area for relaxation (the pool is sometimes used by the owners family). There is a tree house and climbing wall.
Coast/Beach
Tavira and Fuzeta beaches are 20 minutes drive away. Tavira beach is on an island, accessible by a 4 minute ferry crossing. Fuzeta has an island beach and coastal beach. Both have sun shade hire and lifeguard facilities. There are many beaches in the Eastern Algarve that are populated mostly by the locals, unspoilt and quiet.

Travel
The nearest airport is Faro (20 minutes drive). We offer airport transfers at an additional price of 40 euros. Hire cars can be arranged for all/part of your stay.
Distances
The nearest village - Santa Catarina is 5 minutes drive to the east. Sao Bras, the nearest town, is 10 minutes drive to the west.
Further details
All local amenities - banks, chemists, supermarkets, bars and cafes are within a 5-10 minute drive. There is easy access to the motorway to enable guests to travel from the east to the west of the Algarve. Spain is 45km away.
Booking notes
A 50% deposit is required when booking your holiday. The balance is to be paid 6 weeks before arrival.
