Just 3km from the medieval town of Obidos. Recently named as one of the seven wonders of Portugal. Casa Sara is set on 2/3 of an acre of landscaped gardens with plenty of room for children to run around. It has a remote controlled gate with intercom. To the rear of the villa there is a large BBQ area with a brick bread oven. Sit on the balcony and have your breakfast or enjoy a glass of local wine as you enjoy the sun setting behind the vineyard covered hills. Casa Sara is finished to a high standard and includes a games room with a 10ft snooker table, dart board and table tennis table. Casa Sara is the perfect villa to spend time in or as a base to explore all the features of this beautiful region of Portugal.

Outside
From the balcony there is a splendid marble staircase which leads down to the pool terrace. The 10x5m swimming pool has a built in children’s pool. From the pool terrace you can walk on stepping stones to the newly planted fruit trees. The villa is set in 2/3 of an acre of walled gardens and is very private. To the rear of the villa there is a large tiled all weather BBQ area with its own brick bread oven. The outside area is fully equipped with quality wooden sun loungers, umbrellas, tables and chairs.
Coast/Beach
The Silver coast is famed for its miles of clean sandy beaches. Peniche 25 min drive is a busy fishing village with miles of sandy beaches. Along the headland of Peniche you come to Baleal which has become a surfers kinder garden with its gentle swells and crèches. There are plenty of surfing schools. Golf
The Silver Coast has a number of fantastic golf courses within 30 mins drive of the Villa Praia del Ray is an award winning par 72 golf course which is rated number one in Portugal and number 15 in Europe. Campo Real Golf Resort and Spa is another championship course which is close to Torres Vedras. Golden Eagle which is close to Rio Maoir is suitable to seasoned golfers and beginers. There are courses under construction at Bom Succeso and Royal Obidos.
Travel
Car hire essential. Casa sara is 55 min north of Lisbon airport on the A8 motorway and 5 min from the Óbidos exit.
Distances
There is a cafe/shop 3 min walk from the villa. Óidos is 5 min away where you will find shops, banks, restaurants and a supermarket. Caldas da Rainha 15 min drive where you will find an excellent fruit and vegetable market a number of large supermarkets and shopping arcades. Torres Vedras 30 min drive is a large town with its new shopping centre Jumbo hypermarket multi screen cinema, ice rink and many shops and restaurants. The pilgrimage town of Fatima is a 60 min drive away.

There a number of sporting activities within easy reach like go carting, tennis, horse riding, water sports incl surfing, canoeing, wind surfing, indoor pool. The region boasts many festivals life. Óidos has many fairs and festivals throughout the year. Every July a medieval fair recreates the middle ages with medieval music knight’s witches and theatre performances. During the international chocolate festival in February Óbidos becomes worlds chocolate capital with amazing chocolate sculptures. At Christmas there is the Natal festival where there is a special snow village constructed. There are many concerts throughout the year.
