This apartment is in the whole ground floor of a 3 floor building, inhabited by locals. This is a traditional Portuguese home refurbished and equipped to welcome visitors, retaining its charm with fresh style and simplicity. This is not a tourist town, on the contrary, this is a working place of fishermen and all kinds of business people and offers its genuine Portuguese character to people who look forward to meeting what there is still of traditional and pure Portugal. Take an ‘old’ boat to the islands, or a sea-taxi or simply walk around the narrow streets and discover the antique secrets and legends of the place itself. Central location gives guests endless possibilities what to do, where to go and how to go! 5 minutes walk to the lagoon called Ria Formosa, where all kinds of wildlife abound, boats come and go as you shop and dine al fresco. All the markets here are a must, however Saturday's cannot be missed as the goods are displayed along the seafront. Simply beautiful!

As our advert has been placed very late, we are prepared to reduce summer prices from 25 to 30%. According to the number of guests to fit in.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible according to the house occupation.

| Kitchen: | Equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, brand new cutlery and crockery. |

| Living Rooms: | Kitchen opens directly to dining room, bamboo furnished lounge/conservatory and a 2nd TV/DVD room. CD player / radio. Seating accommodates over 10 as drawing/dining and TV rooms are quite spacious. No sport TV unless required and paid for as an extra. |
| Other: | One extra room is closed for house keeper use and utilities keeping. Still available a large pantry. Corridor leading to all rooms. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Included towels and linen as well as beach towels. Two hours maid service provided twice a week. Towels are changed twice a week, linen, once a week. Extra items can be supplied under request, such as kiddies towels, baby cot and linen etc. |
Notes on accommodation
Heating can be provided in winter. Small pet accepted with payment of extra maid cleaning for the check out day. Guests are requested not to smoke in the apartment however we are not fundamentalists. Guests are welcome to play the piano if they know how or to study, otherwise, please don't let kids play with it.
Accessibility
Wide spaces that enable the circulation of a wheel chair around the apartment. Doors wide enough. Special toilet seat and bed available if necessary for a disabled person. This situation has to be presented to owner before guests arrival so that proper arrangements are made. The avenue and the town itself quite leveled and this enables better mobility in case of need.
Outside
Being in the ground floor of a three floors building, it gives guests the access to a back yard patio where one car can be parked. One or two cars from other owners can be there as well, however, being a locked space from the outside avenue, kids can play outside, although it is not suitable for sunbathing and other outdoor activities.
Coast/Beach
Islands of Farol, Culatra and Armona, plus several small little fishermen spots are located all around the town. From the port is takes 10 mins and 1 euro to sail in the ferry to the nearest - Armona. Sea taxi may cost 15 euro (but carries all the family) and takes you to a desired point and coming back hours can be arranged. Fantastic fish restaurants at the islands.
Golf
Main golf courses of both central and eastern Algarve are situated at a distance that may go from 25-35 mins drive.
Special interest holidays
This is not a suitable holiday for tourist lovers. This Olhão accommodation provides contact with the Portuguese reality (the comfortable one of course), walking in countryside or by the lagoon front, eating with the locals at the local places and discovering new ways of learning about a country's intimacy. Sea people are warm and welcoming although they will not make many efforts to speak the 'beef language'. Please learn how to say Obrigado/a - Bom dia - Até logo - they will be delighted.
Travel
Faro airport is at a 20 mins drive. Depending on what guests want to view and do, the use of a car is advised or not. But with all the small villages, beaches and Spain at a 40 mins distance, the use of a car would be recommended.
Distances
25 mins drive from Eastern Algarve golf courses, Spain. 10 mins drive either to Tavira or Faro. Interesting surroundings to be explored and visited: coast and inland with great views, great people and small nice restaurants all around.
Further details
Apartment in a very alive avenue, with shops, supermarkets, coffee shops, nice plazas, hairdresser etc.. which will show visitors the real Portuguese life style.
Booking notes
Booking procedure to be dealt with through the contacts above. Initial booking deposit of 25%. Remaining balance to be paid 6 weeks before rental date, together with a breakage/damage deposit of 200 euros.
