Casa Rosa has fully equipped poolside apartments. Near Moncarapacho, between Tavira and Faro. Very peaceful and quiet location, no sound of cars. Location perfect for birdwatching. 7 mins to the nearest beach and the sea, 7 min to nearest golf course and 30 min to the Spanish border. For spoiling yourself enjoy our Breakfast Buffet in our own Bistro where we also serve dinner. Casa Rosa is a large traditionally built villa that has been tastefully converted into 6 large self catering units. All refurbished 2008. Every apt is unique and accommodate two people (max of four). They are all fully equipped with every modern convenience including: Modern kitchen with full size cooker and fridge, a full set of kitchen utensils and crockery as well as coffee machine and juicer, bed linen and towels, satellite TV system and own bathrooms. Lovely pool for our guests with large sun terrace and sun beds. Our guests may use our traditional Portuguese barbecue.

Changeover day
Changeover any day. Move in at arrival if the apt is availabel. Check out until 11 am. If you have late departure you may stay at Casa Rosa during the day. We store your luggage. Shower available for you.

Outside
Casa Rosa has a lovely large pool (11m x 6m with 3m as deepest) and a very large tiled pool area surrounded by flowers and with sun beds, sun umbrellas, sitting areas with tables and chairs. All for our guests. Our grounds are large (12.000 sq.m.) and sheltered with plenty of wild flowers. Ideal also for bird watching, either on the grounds or nearby area or as a starting point for daytrips (see also www.casarosa.net). You are really relaxing in the countryside yet very centrally located.
There is a traditional Portuguese barbeque for our guest to use. We do have a few bikes for renting as well as small beach chairs if you go to the beach.
Coast/Beach
Eastern Algarve has the most beautiful beaches you can imagine. It’s really hard to choose. Fuseta has the nearest beach where you drive in some 7 min from Casa Rosa. Another favorite close by is Barril where you either take a little train or walk out from the parking area after a short drive. If you drive to Olhao you may take the ferry out to Farrol which is another of our favorites. Ask us when you’re here and we direct you.
Golf
Very close - 10 min - to Colina Verde golf course. Then there are golf courses by Tavira, Vale do Rei, Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Castro Marim, Quinta do Vale. Some 20 min drive from Casa Rosa. You may also choose across the Spanish border at Isla Canela. Only a 35 min drive.
Special interest holidays
Casa Rosa is known among birdwatchers as the ideal place for a base when you discover all the rare birds of the southern Portugal. See www.casarosa.net. We do have contact with guide for those who would like half a day or a day with persons known to the area.
Travel
Faro is our nearest airport accessible in 20-25 min. You may also fly to Lisbon and straight motorways take you down in 2.5 hours. Seville is another option. We do offer transfer from Faro if requested (payable for the guest. We do also offer to arrange for car hire for you. They will meet you at the airport and hand over the car. Very fast and easy – no hour long queue and buses to depots.
Distances
Our local village, Moncarapacho is only 3 min drive away. We like to walk in by foot and it takes us between 15 and 20 min. Tavira is some 20 min drive and Olhao just above 10 min drive. Faro with its large shopping mall, Forum Algarve, is 25 min drive away. You reach the Spanish border in 30 min. All the Algarve is at your feet starting off from Casa Rosa.
Further details
Moncarapcho is our own lovely local village. Moncarapacho is a small country town in the middle of an area which is home to orange growing and horticulture. It exudes a calm, unhurried atmosphere of people going about their business in a relaxed and friendly way. The town offers all the basic facilities of banks, post office, Internet cafe, supermarkets and other shops, petrol station, market, restaurants and plenty of pavement cafés. It even has its own tiny museum. It has a market on the first Saturday of each month. There is also a good ceramic factory shop on the edge of the town. Many of our guest travel back home with some items from this shop. In Faro you will find Forum Algarve with all international brand stores as well as in the center of Faro. Olhao gives you the best fish market in the Algarve. Walk around and see all the freshest fish in a lot of varieties. Tavira is a very nice old Roman city and is well known with its old Roman Bridge. Villa Real is the town just at the bank of the border river against Spain. It is known for a wide selection of towels sold there.

Bookings are done by email or fax. We hold the apt for you for 7 days after you decided on your dates and awaiting your booking form and a 25% deposit for guarantee.
