Notes on prices
NB may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. Rates are for up to 6 persons. Travel cots are available at 20 euros per week and 12.50 euros for subsequent weeks. A 20% deposit is required to secure the reservation with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. A refundable house deposit will also be required. Payment is preferred in the specified currency. We may have to charge you for any bank fees incurred should the payment be made in a different currency.

Changeover day
We try to accommodate changeovers on most days if possible.

Accommodation

Notes on accommodation
On entering the villa, the main hallway leads to downstairs cloakroom, open plan kitchen, sitting room and dining areas. The kitchen has every appliance that you could wish for with a good supply of crockey and utensils. This leads to an open plan lounge and dining area with elegant decor and a bright and airy ambience. The large TV also has a DVD player and Free view satellite channels. Internet access is also available.The bedrooms are with ensuite bathrooms and have a TV in each. The master bedroom ensuiite bathroom also has a large jacuzzi bath, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. To note, the twin bedrooms are ground floor, the master bedroom first floor.
At the front of the house, a private area houses a laundry point with washing machine and tumble dryer. To the rear of the house, the pool and sun terrace overlook the magnificent views of the golf course itself. There is also a shaded area with dining table and chairs suitable for relaxing or dining.

Coast/Beach
The Algarve is famous for its white sandy beaches and for those who wish to partake, there are several within a few kms of each other. The closest to visit is that of Praia Verde around 5kms away. This is reached by car and its outset is perched on a hilltop with the most spectaular views. The restaurant on the hill top offers a high quality cuisine, but for those who wish to relax by the sea, there are a couple of smaller beach bars serving meals and refreshments.

Golf
As well as the Castro Marim course on site, this is perfect accommodation for golfers wishing to sample the full range of excellent courses situated in the Eastern Algarve. Within a 35km radius there are 6 courses to choose from. The New Quinta do Vale and Costa Esuri and becoming increasingly popular and can be reached within several minutes.

The prestigious new course of Monte Rei designed by Jack Nicklaus now has its first 18 holes open and is continuing in its development to the second phase offering the height of golfing luxury - although a costly experience, this is a real treat for golfing fanatics wishing to experience a little high life! Travelling back around 20kms to towards Tavira, Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima and Benamor are all also highty recommended.

Travel
It is becoming increasingly easy to travel to the Algarve where the main airport is Faro. The most favoured budget airlines are Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Jet2, Bmi Baby and Monarch.
The best website that we can recommend is 'Skyscanner' where you can select your chosen dates and preferred departure airport and you are presented with a 1 simple list of all available flights, the operator names and the prices!

Distances
35 minutes drive from Faro airport, 5 minutes from Castro Marim, 10 minutes from Spain and Monte Gordo, 15 minutes from charming Tavira.

Further details
Castro Marim is an unspoilt location with a typical Eastern Algarve charm. The narrow streets are filled with character and have a choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. The key feature of this town is the Castle which is open to the public and worth a visit to sample the fabulous views at the very least! The town is around 2kms from the villa. Before you reach Castro Marim itself, the village of Monte San Francisco also offers bar and restaurant faciliites at very reasonable prices.
Spain:
This location even also offers its visitors the chance to experience a different country! The Spanish border is a mere 5kms away and the first town of Ayamonte is well worth a visit to sample to wine and Tapas. Seville is alos a real treat and can be reached in just under 2 hours.
Tavira:
When staying in the area a visit to the beautiful Town of Tavira is essential. Here you will find many fine 18th Century buildings, 37 Churches(!) and a large range of restaurants and shops, mixing both the old and the new elements of the Algarve. The town is steeped in history with known roots reaching as far back as 2000 B.C. A Roman bridge links the two parts of the town across the River Gilão, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants where can relax and enjoy a peaceful drink or meal, to suit all tastes. You can also visit the old castle, several monuments and the typical fisherman’s harbour which links to the waters of the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Tavira Island and its golden beaches are reached by small boat from the main harbour where you can sunbathe and swim in the pleasant Atlantic Waters. Drive time to Tavira is 20 minutes.
