The town is situated on a perfect semi-circle shaped beach which is an excellent and safe swimming environment for children. The seafront is lined with bars and restaurants and also includes a lovely children's playground. There is a small market every day (except Monday) also supermarket, florist and other small shops all minutes away. It makes an excellent base for visiting interesting places like Obidos, Sintra, Fatima, Alcobaca etc. Surf beaches are close by, as are golf courses such as the award-winning Praia del Rey.

Changeover day
Flexible changeover day depending on availability. Arrival time after 4pm - Departure must be before 10 am but please ask if you require later departure - depending on availability we will try and accommodate your request.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has excellent finishes including air-conditioning, central sound system, electric thermal window shutters, video-phone entry system. Both bedroom and lounge open onto the balcony. Door to main building is secure (pin number needed to enter). This apartment is on the second floor which can be accessed via lifts or stairs.

Lovely balcony, a small children’s play area, shared pool, decking area and Sun loungers are available. Parking outside or near the apartment.
Coast/Beach
10 minute stroll to the beach at Sao Martinho do Porto. 15 minute to drive to Nazare with its long sandy beach. 15 minutes to the beautiful lagoon beach at Foz do Arelho - water sports.
Golf
There are 4 local golf courses. The Praia del Rey is located only 30 mins drive. The Golden Eagle at Rio Major also 30 min drive. Botado in Peniche is a 35 mins drive. Campo Real is located 40 mins away.
Travel
Car hire recommended. Lisbon airport 1 hour drive. Porto airport 2.5 hour drive. Many airlines fly to Lisbon including low cost. There is a bus/train station with access from Lisbon.
Distances
15 min drive to Nazare - wonderful beach and seafood restaurants. 15 min drive to Caldas de Rainha spa town and shopping. 20 mins drive to Obidos - truly wonderful walled medieval town. 25 mins to Alcobaca - large monastery town. 40 mins drive to Peniche surfing.
Further details
A 2 minutes walk around the corner you have the local market with local fruit and veg and fresh fish, as well as a baker, butcher, deli, newsagent, internet cafe, florist etc. There are banks, several restaurants, bars and local shops. Railway station and bus services to Lisbon also available.

Balance required 5 weeks prior to dates booked plus £100 key/breakages deposit (refundable on safe return and satisfactory housekeeping report).
