Changeover day can be flexible. The villa must be vacated at 10.00 a.m. on departure day and accessed from 4.00 p.m. on arrival day.

Living Rooms: Dining area with table which seats 8, drinks cabinet, high chair. Patio doors to the swimming pool.
Large lounge with 2 comfortable sofas and 1 chair plus TV and DVD equipment. Traditional wood burning fireplace. 2 sets of patio doors to the pool.
Other: Hallway with cloakroom off. Casa Javicki is fully furnished with built-in wardrobes in all four bedrooms.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Casa Javicki is cleaned and the linen changed weekly and the towels are changed twice per week.

 

Notes on accommodation
Casa Javicki is air conditioned and heated. It also has two wood burning stoves, gas and solar water heating. The house opens directly on to the pool area, so care should be taken to lock the 5 patio doors leading to the pool area when young children are resident at Casa Javicki. Extra care should be taken by all guests around the swimming pool. The larger fridge is located in the utility room not the kitchen. The jacuzzi and pool are maintained weekly. Glasses should not be taken into the jacuzzi for safety reasons.

Accessibility
The house is a very large bungalow with no steps, although it has not been specifically adapted for a disabled person, it would be very suitable to those who have difficulty with stairs.

Outside
Large surrounding natural garden, two driveways, garage, extensive parking, large covered patio with table and benches, extensive uncovered patio surrounding the swimming pool with numerous sun loungers. The swimming pool is 15m long, 5m wide and 2.5m deep at the deep end. It has a large shallow end with gentle steps in. Hot tub/Jacuzzi which is maintained weekly. BBQ area at the back of the kitchen with patio and table and chairs, second patio and BBQ area above the garage with a round stone table, seating benches and views. Further patios at the rear with olive and citrus trees. Rockery below the pool with variety of vibrant coloured flowers and pond. Children's swings.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Alvor, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve, with famous rock formations and secluded sandy coves. The village of Alvor has many restaurants and bars but retains it character as a traditional Portuguese fishing village.

Golf
Nearby Penina is about 3km drive, Palmares, approx 6km and the new Morgado golf course is approx 3km drive away.

Travel
Airport Faro: 70km. Car Hire for Casa Javicki is essential.

Further details
Restaurants - there are various local restaurants such as Fonte da Pedra and Solar do Farelo (walking distance) who specialise in traditional Portuguese cuisine and the excellent Amadeus, high-class cuisine. Further afield every type of bar and restaurant is available in Alvor, Lagos and Portimao. Praia da Rocha has a lively bar and club scene.
Shopping - the nearby village of Mexilhoeira Grande has a small supermarket, bank, post office and pharmacy (5 mins in a car). There are larger supermarkets such as Le Clerc and Modelo on the way to Portimao.
