The Algarve is world renowned for its excellent golf courses. Just 10 mins away in Salgados Course, with Pine Cliffs & Balaia also closeby. The 6 championship courses of Villamoura are just a 20 minute drive away.
Travel
Faro Airport 25 minutes drive away. Transfers are easily organised, we can provide details for low cost reliable companies. As the apartment is close to all amenities that the Old Town has to offer, a car is not essential.
Distances
Old Town is only a short walk (10 mins). There are water parks and Zoomarine, where you can swim with the dolphins only 15 minutes drive away. 20 mins walk to the Infamous "Strip" full of lively bars and nightclubs where you can enjoy the late night scene.
Further details
A great variety of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and clubs are all within walking distance. The 'Algarve Shopping' Mall which includes a cinema and bowling alley is a 10 minute drive away.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We chose Albufeira because of the great facilities in the area. There are some really beautiful beaches and a great variety of things to do. We love eating out and we still haven't eaten in all the restaurants yet, we have about 5 faves we always go back to! The food is good quality, and caters well for the British & Irish tastes, if you fancy a change from the delicious local cuisine, with good Thai, Chinese, Indian,Mexican & Italian restaurants. The local seafood is especially amazing..& so cheap! The old town has a good range of bars & restaurants, while the Strip is great if you fancy going clubbing. There really is something for everyone!
We often hire a car and had some great day trips to Tavira, Portimao, Alvor & Lagos. Albufeira is v accessible with Faro airport just 20 minutes
Unique benefits of the property
The property is just ten minutes walk from the famous Fishermans' beach & the charming cobbled streets of the old town. We have also discovered some amazing quiet beaches further along the coast. We also spend a lot of time by the pool as it doesn't get too busy and is a real sun trap. Our balcony is South facing so we get the sun til it sets every evening so we mostly enjoy sitting out with a large glass of vino to catch the last of the sun! We decided to get cable TV so we can keep up with all our favourite TV shows & news from home. The new marina is just a short walk away so its great to have the choice of going to the Old Town, The Strip or the Marina for dinner & drinks. We love the fact that there is always lots of activity in Albufeira and we never have a boring holiday!
