Situated in the charming village of Foz do Arelho, only 50 minutes from Lisbon, this villa is close to the fabulous beach and it's restaurants and bars. A 10 min walk to the beach or 2 minutes into the Foz village itself and you will find a few small supermarkets, a bank with cash machine, a taxi rank, a doctor and more bars and restaurants. The historic medieval walled hilltop town of Obidos with its picturesque streets and views of the surrounding countryside is only 12km away. The spa town of Caldas da Rainha, famous for its locally-made ceramics, is just 8km away and here you can find bigger supermarkets as well as a daily open air market of cheeses, olives, fruit, vegetables, flowers, etc. For golfers, Praia D'el Rey golf club is about 30km away. From Lisbon airport, the apartment is located approximately 50 mins drive north, along the Silver Coast. Close to historic towns of Alcobaça and Fátima.

Notes on prices
The prices are for the property per day or week in Euros. Long term rentals negotiable (Discounts for bookings of over 2 weeks). Minumum one week rental in July & August.
Changeover day
The rental is Saturday to Saturday (flexible out of season). The villa has to be vacated by 11am, and can be accessed after 4pm on the day of your arrival. Luggage can be stored for earlier arrivals and later departure times.

Outside
With a “deck” and plenty of space to relax the house is ideal for all year round use. You can also stretch out on the sun wit poufs or sit in the shade to read in either of the private front of the villa.
Coast/Beach
Obidos lagoon and Foz do Arelho beach is 10 mins walking, 3 mins by car. Many other beautiful beaches (São Martinho, Nazaré, Peniche…) 10 to 30 mins away by car. With Obidos Lagoon always in sight and only a few minutes walk away; the lagoon is a wonderful safe place for families and children to enjoy, with large expanses of sand and safe shallow bathing. The lagoon is also a magnificent natural habitat for all types of wildlife. Beach cafes, restaurants and bars, only a 10 minute walk away.
Golf
There are 2 top of the range golf course, which are both within a 20 mins drive from the villa. The first is the world renowned Praia d'el Rey, which is situated along the coast. The other golf course is of a very high standard, called Golden Eagle, situated more inland, near Rio Maior.
Travel
Lisbon airport 50 mins, 80km. Porto 3 hours. Faro 4 hours. Best flights available directly from BA, also TAP, Monarch and Easyjet. Prices are very reasonable if booked early.
Distances
Caldas da Rainha 10 mins. Sao Martinho 10 mins, Nazare 25mins. Lisbon, a wonderful, cultural city must be explored, 50 minute drive away. Baleal superb beach town, 25 minutes away. Peniche, lovely quaint fishing town, 30 minutes drive away, with really good fish restaurants and day trips to the Berlenga islands. Obidos, unique walled castle city, a UNESCO world heritage site of special interest, a must visit, 15 minutes drive. Caldas da Rainha, 10 minute drive.
Further details
Foz village centre, a 2 minutes walk away, with a post office, bank, doctor, baker, butcher, 2 small mini-markets and a variety of restaurants and bars. Caldas da Rainha, a fabulous ceramic market town, go early for fresh fruit and vegetables from the town centre market, Monday to Saturday, mornings only. Caldas is a great shopping town and many fashionable shops for those special presents.
Foz do Arelho really is ideal for everyone and has attractions and activities all year round. Golf, fish, walk, hike, surf, canoe, sail, windsurf, horse ride, cycle and much more; you can even just relax, do nothing, laze in the sun. This area of Portugal has excellent good value restaurants of all types and standards. Local produce and good local wines, are easy to shop for, look out for wines produced around the lagoon.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable at the time of booking, this will then become a security deposit when the final payment is made : Final payment is on arrival in cash. Minimum rental period - 4 nights.
