There is a very friendly relaxed club house with a bar and restaurant with a very large terrace overlooking the course which is a splendid place to a cup of coffee, a lunchtime snack or lunch or evening meal, all at very reasonable prices. If you need a break from golf, white sandy beaches are just 10 minutes away.

Changeover day
Bookings are on a Saturday to Saturday basis. Check out by 10am check in after 4pm but flexible if it is not a changeover day.

Accessibility
This property is suitable for disabled people as there are 2 downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms although the baths are not disabled friendly. There are wide doorways and no steps on the ground floor and is suitable for a wheelchair.
Outside
From the lounge there is a covered terrace with lots of shade, with outside dining area complete with large table and chairs and parasol. There is an outside pool shower. An 8 x 4m saltwater pool with walk in steps and wide terracing with loungers, BBQ, sink etc. The whole is lit for those warm evenings outside and having stunning views across the golf course to the Rio Guardiana, Spain and beyond.
Coast/Beach
Within a 10 minute drive there are the long white sandy beaches that have the coveted EEC blue flag, with small tides they are safe. Where you can swim or just relax, boasting some of the warmest water temperatures in the Algarve. Loungers and parasols can be hired and the beaches are so long that even at the height of the season it it possible to find your own 'space'. Most beaches have small restaurants and bars and Castro Marim has its own beach restaurant O Pescador at Cabeço.
Golf
The golf course in situated in the heart of a nature reserve and boasts a magnificent par 72 18 hole Atlantic course with a 9 hole course opening in April 08 catering for all aptitudes. There is a practice putting green, driving range and chipping green and professional tuition in on hand. Within a 10/15 minute drive there are 4 more quality courses: Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima, Benamor and the new stunning Jack Nicklaus course at Monte Rei.
Travel
The nearest airport is Faro, 30/40 minutes drive. Seville is sometimes cheaper to fly to but a longer distance away. Car hire is recommended and it is about the same price a taxi to and fro and there are so many interesting places to explore. We can recommend both taxi and car hire, both being good value and very reliable.
Distances
Castrol Marim, with the castle guarding over it, is a 5 minute drive with a few small shops and one excellent restaurant. Villa Real do Santo Antonio is about 10 minutes away and was rebuilt after the large earthquake and set out in the American manner with long straight streets intersecting one another. You will find many small interesting shops, cafes and bars along the cobbled streets. There is a marina and a boat ferry across to Ayamonte, Spain costing just 2 euros and taking just 1/2 hour.
