Notes on accommodation
We do have a foldaway bed for an extra guest to stay. There is central heating.

Outside
Nice sized terrace close to pool area. Good sized pool, due to the apartment block being small and exclusive the pool is usaully quiet. There is a table and chairs for outside dining, together with two sun chairs and two sun-loungers by the pool. A large gas fired BBQ s also there for your use.

Coast/Beach
There are several beaches of all descriptions, all very safe. Some secluded in rocky bays, some long and sandy.

Golf
Nearby golf withing 30 minutes include, Penina, Palmares, Boavista, Parque de Floresta. Clubs are available upon request at the apartment.

Travel
Faro airport is 50 mins by road. There is a good train service and hotel shuttle system. Care hire is cheap and recommended if you have not been to the Western Algarve before.

Portimao 20km. Sagres 20km. Algarve Shopping Centre 35km.

For many visitors to Portugal, Lagos is becoming one of the favorite destinations on the whole Algarve. Many of our visitors return to this historical coastal city due to its breadth of entertainment, simply put it has something for everyone. If you enjoy wining and dining there are restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes and budget. Remember Lagos is on of the main Algarvian fishing ports so there are some wonderful restaurants to choose from, all selling ocean fresh fish. For bars and clubs you are spoilt for choice, there are English and Irish style pubs alongside the more traditional Portuguese tavernas.

A crescent bay of sandy beaches is lapped by the calm crystal waters of this coast, which is sheltered by sandstone rocks that tumble down into breathtaking rock formations, caves and grottos.

A 17th-century fort and ancient walls guard the harbour entrance, around which the resort is built. To the north are rolling hills and pretty villages.

Lagos itself is an exciting mix of old and new Portugal - it has the classic flower-decked squares and whitewashed buildings and a magnificent new marina. In general, the resort is tasteful and chic.

About the owner
We are a semi-retired couple who now live and enjoy life in the Algarve. We run the holiday apartment and are currently looking for a small holding where my wife and I can start to grow things. I run a small business producing e-learning courses for businesses and also have a graphic design company producing quite a lot of work for local bars and restaurants in the western Algarve.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We fell in love with Lagos over 12 years ago and decided to buy a place in the sun. We looked all over the western Algarve and did not really like many of the places for a variety of reasons. However, we seemed to gravitate to Lagos and suddenly realised this was the place! We bought a place the same week and have never regretted it. Close to the town centre it had everything we wished for. We bought a second place nearby, where we now live. Most of our guests feel the same about Lagos and the apartment and we genuinely get many of our visitors returning each year.

Unique benefits of the property
Very close to the town centre, local restaurants and stores. Good size terrace and swimming pool. Largely residential so well maintained and quiet as many of our clients say, it's home from home.
