Located just outside Lourinha, within 150m from the sea, a 10/15 minute walk will take you to the beautiful sandy beach of Praia de Areia Branca (Lifeguards in summer). There are numerous excellent beaches in the area. In nearby Lourinha, approx 5 mins drive away, you will find banks, supermarkets, restaurants, tourist information etc. Similar facilities in Areia Branca (5 mins drive). Peniche, a fishing town famous for its fabulous surfing and wind surfing, is a 15 minute drive. Peniche has excellent traditional Portuguese restaurants overlooking the marina. Enjoy water sports, go-carting and horse riding in the area. Ideal location to explore the many places of interest in the Lisbon/Silver Coast region, including Obidos, Fatima and Nazare.

Changeover day
Our changeover day is normally Saturday after 3pm. However, this may be flexible in off-peak times. Departure by 10am on final day of your stay.

Notes on accommodation
The house is within a secure gated development of approx 21 houses with fencing around the complex. Facilities include shared swimming pool with a second smaller children's pool. Please note that there are no lifeguard facilities with the pool. Tennis courts and swimming pools are private and for resident's use only.

Full gas central heating throughout the house, with wood-burning stove in the lounge area, suitable for use in the winter months. The property has its own underground parking facilities.
Accessibility
The villa is on three floors with bedrooms on first and second floors - sitting room and living area only on the ground floor. There is separate access to the property via stairs from the basement garage.
Outside
Property is laid out in communal gardens and paved areas. The house has its own private terrace and garden at ground floor level, with balconies on the first and second floor. Area around the swimming pools is paved and is suitable for sunbathing. Tennis courts are flood lit and for residents use only.
Coast/Beach
Excellent beaches in the surrounding area including Praia de Areia Branca (approx 10/15 mins walk). Supertubos and Consolacao in Peniche and Baleal (20 mins by car) offer excellent water sports facilities including surfing and windsurfing.
Golf
18 hole championship courses at Praia del Rei 20km, Termas do Vimeiro, Peniche 20kms and Golden Eagle, Rio Maior approx 50kms.
Travel
Lisbon Airport - approx 60kms from Lourinha (45/50 minutes drive from the complex along the excellent A8 motorway). Porto and Faro airports are approx 2 and 3 hours drive. Flights from the UK available from BA, TAP, Monarch, BMI Baby, Ryanair and Easyjet. From Ireland, Aer Lingus to Lisbon and Faro/Ryanair to Porto. While coach/bus service is available from Lisbon Airport to Lourinha, car hire is recommended.

Obidos (World Heritage Site) approx 30kms.

Excellent location to explore the many places of interest in the Lisbon/Silver coast area, including Obidos, Nazare, Fatima and Coimbra to the North, and Mafra, Sintra, Cascais and of course, Lisbon to the South.
Activities in the area in include go-carting at Lourinha/Peniche and Bombarral, water sports at Peniche, Baleal, Areia Branca and Foz do Arelho. Aqua Park at Peniche in summer time.
There are a wide range of supermarkets in the area including Intermarche, Lidl, Aldi, Leclerc, Jumbo and Continente.
Booking notes
To book please check availability by email. A 25% deposit will be required at the time of booking. Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to arrival. A damage deposit of 150 euro will be payable with the final payment - this will be refunded after your departure from the property, subject to a satisfactory property inspection. Our property manager, Nathalie, will be available to meet guests on arrival.
