Notes on accommodation
Wheelchair friendly, aircon / heating at extra charge per week. Good cross ventilation throughout downstairs with mosquito mesh covers on most openings. High chair, playpen, stair gate FOC on request and electronic cover on pool - 9 metres x 4.5 metres, heated at extra cost.

Accessibility
Driveway laid in casadas with gentle sloping pathways, giving great access to all areas, no steps except at one patio which can be accessed from kitchen/ dining and at back door of garage, lots of shrubs at wheelchair height. Easy access to pool with steps and large area around pool for relaxing with loungers, drinks tables and sun umbrella.

Outside
The garden and terraces are wheelchair friendly.
The garden is spacious with shrubs, olive trees, lemon tree and flowers, with a pumped stream running through. There are lots of paths with 6 different terraces some with table & chairs and others with sun beds.
The salt water pool is 9m x 4.5m private and can be heated. It is fitted with an electric safety cover, the pool is cleaned weekly.

Coast/Beach
By car Luz beach is 5 mins, safe beach with boats & sports equipment for hire, good restaurants. Cliff walks at Lagos/Praia de Ana are 10 mins. Burgau has beach with rock formation 10 mins. Meia Praia beach is vast with sand dunes and beach bars, boating and water sports available. 10 mins Salema, a traditional fishing village with beautiful beach and snack bars is 20 mins. Water sports activity - surfing, windsurfing etc 20-30 mins west e.g. Zavial, Amado, Praia do Castelejo and Cordama.

Golf
Boavista golf is 3 mins away. Penina Golf, Las Palmares, and Parque da Floresta are 15 mins away and 40 mins to Quinta de Lago golf courses. We can advise re discount on these courses!

Special interest holidays
This is a warm inviting home situated at the back of the Funchal Ridge offering a quiet private garden, with exceptional views over Monchique Mountains.
Lagos town straddles the Bensafrin River where there is a magnificent Marina with sea trips/fishing/sailing on offer. It is a friendly town with cobbled streets linked by beautiful squares with a variety of restaurants, bars, shops and art galleries. There are many Supermarkets in the town some offering ATM facilities.
Larger shopping malls are within 15--20 min drive for that day out!!!. The picturesque village of Luz has a warm friendly appeal with great beach, lovely cafe/restaurants.

Travel
From the house Faro Airport is 45 mins on the motorway.
Lisbon Airport 3hrs drive.
Car hire essential.

of English food, fresh meat & bread, newspapers and books available, open long hours.
Intermarche Supermarket with wide selection of food, dry cleaners,newspapers,stamps etc, wine, bakery, fish, meat and cheese counter, household & electrical goods, baby/children accessories, open 7 days 9am -9pm, except some holidays.
Modelo, Plus, Lidl etc are also in Lagos.
Daily fish market at Lagos, covered meat and vegetable market on Saturday mornings behind bus station.
Banks are open 8am --3pm mon -Friday

A non refundable deposit of 25% of the total rent is required to secure the booking. Payment of the balance and a refundable damage deposit of £100 should be made 8 weeks before arrival. We prefer payment by electronic bank transfer. Welcome pack can be arranged on request. The Villa is non smoking and no pets.
