Pestana Palm Gardens is a small exclusive resort placed on a level plateau with superb views of the ocean. 200m away from the beach, close to the village of Carvoeiro and just 10 minutes from Pestana Carvoeiro Golf (Pinta and Gramacho Golf Courses). The resort has impressive mature gardens filled with palm trees, bougainvillea and well tended lawns. There is large communal swimming pool which is heated in winter, a poolside bar and a restaurant. Other on-site amenities include a tennis court, table tennis, a small health club/gym with cardio machines. There is a reception office with friendly helpful staff that is open every day.

Accessibility
This is a two-storey property with internal steps on the ground floor and a staircase to the first floor. It is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Outside
The French windows in the lounge open on to a small patio and extensive communal lawns open to all guests. The lawns have many mature palms trees that give welcome summer shade. The main shared swimming pool is 23x11m and is heated between the months of November and April and there is a separate children's pool. There is also a small children's playground. Sun loungers and sun umbrellas are provided around the pool area.
Coast/Beach
There are many sandy beaches backed by spectacular sandstone cliffs all along the Algarve Coastline. Praia de Centeannes is the nearest at 200m from the resort.
Golf
There are several excellent golf courses in the Algarve. Local golf courses are Pestana Gramacho Course, Pestana Vale de Pinta Course and Pestana Silves Golf Course. Special discount rates are available to guests staying at the resort and tee times can be booked through reception.
Travel
Nearest airport is Faro approx 45 minutes /56km. Car hire from airport is recommended though not essential. Independent shuttle services available from airport to resort available via internet.

Further details
The village of Carvoeiro has a market where you can get fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish and other provisions. There are many restaurants and bars as well as banks and a post office.
