Large jacuzzi bath in the master en-suite. Magnificent clubhouse offers friendly service, good food and a gym (daily fee). Castro Marim Golfe and Country Club offers 27 holes of golf with a full range of practice facilities. Within a 10 minute drive you have access to miles of golden sandy beaches, the Sapal Nature Reserve, the historic castle of Castro Marim and shopping, entertainment and restaurants in Villa Real and Ayamonte.

Notes on accommodation
In line with Portuguese regulations the villa is strictly non-smoking (inside) but you can make use of the outdoor space. Please be aware that the terraces are split level with 4 steps which may not be suitable for babies and small children. In addition there is a set of steps at the end of the garden to access the pool house.

Accessibility
With ground level bedrooms and bathroom the villa provides suitable accommodation for travellers with mobility requirements. It has not been specifically designed for wheelchair users.
Outside
The living room and bedroom 2 both lead onto the private terrace at the rear of the property. Steps lead to the lower terrace with the 8 x 4 metre pool (can be heated), with a jet stream for a more strenuous workout. Max depth 2.5 metres. A pool shower is provided for use before swimming. There is an outdoor glass topped dining set with 6 wicker chairs, another table and chairs on the lower terrace and 4 wooden loungers.
Coast/Beach
The Eastern Algarve is famous for its golden sandy beaches and you can be there in under 10 minutes by car. Beach umbrellas and shades are available to hire or you can make use of the beach equipment provided in the villa. Castro Marim and Golfe Club has a beach restaurant offering refreshments.
Golf
Castro Marim Golfe and Country Club offers the 18 hole Atlantic course (par 72) which provides a challenge to most golfers together with stunning views. A brand new 9 holes opening this April will increase the options. Practice facilities and professional tuition is available.
Within 15 minutes there are courses at Quinta do Vale, Esuri (Spain), Quinta da Cima, Quinta da Ria and the stunning new Jack Nicklaus Course at Monte Rei.
Travel
Faro is the nearest airport (40 minutes) and we can also recommend Seville (75 minutes).
Distances
Castro Marim (5 mins), Monte Gordo (10 mins), Villa Real de St Antonio (10 mins), Ayamonte(10 mins) and Tavira (20 mins).
Further details
Excellent food shopping is available in both Villa Real de St. Antonio and Ayamonte at supermarkets and the local fish and vegetable markets. Most local restaurants offer excellent fresh fish and meat dishes and more discerning dining is available locally and in Tavira. The clubhouse offers friendly service and an excellent range of refreshments at reasonable prices.
Booking notes
A 25% (non-refundable) deposit will be required at the time of booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. A breakages/key deposit will be required.
