Location is in the tranquil Sao Rafael just a few kilometres west of Albufeira. 10 mins stroll will take you to the beautiful Sao Rafael beach recognisable from picture postcards. Further along the coastline will lead to other fantastic coves with red rock formations and superb restaurants. The area has numerous other restaurants, supermarkets, bars etc. The stylish new marina, Albufeira Old town, Salgados golf course, Zoo Marine and water parks are also nearby offering a fantastic choice of entertainment for all the family. A bus service runs right outside the apartment from Gale Beach to Albufeira.

Notes on accommodation
This penthouse apartment is located on the second (top) floor with access by lift or stairs. The building has underground car parking and a video entry security system. All windows have electric shutters.
Outside
The apartment complex has a large sleek infinity swimming pool and seperate baby pool. Private location with sun loungers, toilets and pool showers. There are also two tennis courts.
Coast/Beach
A short stroll to Sao Rafael the local beach. Other sandy coves are a short distance along the coast (Castelo, Evaristo, Coelha and Lourenco) and are definitely worth the visit. Gale is a long sandy beach and is only a 5 min drive away.
Golf
The Algarve is a golfers paradise. The nearest course Salgados is only 3 kilometres away. Numerous other courses are only 15 kilometres away (Vilamoura Old Course, Pinhal, Laguna, Millennium, Villa Sol and Victoria Course).

Travel
Sao Rafael is 35 minute drive from Faro Airport. Transfers can be arranged on arrival and the excellent local amenities mean that car hire is not essential. Buses run frequently into Albufeira and the new marina and taxi's can be arranged from the nearby hotel. It is an easy drive from the airport should you prefer to hire a car. Check out 'economy car rentals' for free excess insurance and two insured drivers.
Distances
Albufeira Old Town is 5 - 10 mins by car or bus (bus stops outside the apartments). The marina with shops and restaurants is 5 mins by car or bus. Zoo Marine is 20 mins by car. Water parks are dotted all within a half hour drive (The best one which includes a roller coaster is at Quarteira). Vilamoura is 25 min drive.
Further details
The newly built marina offers sailing and fishing excursions. Especially recommended are the trips to explore local caves and unusual rock formations and of course the sunset cruises. It is great place to eat and drink, keep an eye on the notice boards for the events held throughout the summer. For a busier atmosphere Albufeira town provides shops and restaurants-a-plenty and it's square is a great place to sit, relax and people watch.
