Outside
5 levels of outdoor private terraces including a stunning spacious roof terrace equipped with outdoor furniture and drinks fridge. The roof terrace has views to the sea, and across Tavira. There is a range of high quality outdoor furniture and parasols for dining, relaxing or sunbathing. There is also a private brick built BBQ for alfresco dining.
Coast/Beach
Within a 5 minute drive, there are many beautiful white sandy beaches along the coast either side of Tavira including The Island of Tavira which is just a short boat trip from the town's harbour and the beach at Santa Luzia where you park and either walk or take a 2 minute train ride to the beach at the dunes, which has restaurants and a few shops. The beaches offer miles of white sand, sun beds with shade, beach cafes. There is a further beach within a few minutes drive at Cabanas de Tavira.
Golf
There are a number of golf courses within a short drive. These include Benamor 5 mins, Quinta da Ria 10 mins, Quinta da Cima 10 mins, Monte Rei 15 mins, Castro Marim 25 mins, Quinta do Vale 25 mins. There are many others just west of Faro at around 40 mins drive including Vale de Lobo, San Lorenzo, Quinta do Lago, Pinheiros Altos and Vilamoura.
Travel
The house is around 35 kms (20 minutes) from Faro airport, and there are excellent taxi, bus and train services from Faro to Tavira. There are also regular bus and train services to visit other places from Tavira, so car hire is not essential but is recommended to make the most of your stay.
Distances
Tavira town centre with shops, excellent restaurants, cafes and bars is 3 mins drive or 10-15 mins walk. Spanish border is just 20km away and the historic city of Seville is within a 2 hour drive. Algarve shopping complex 40 mins drive. Santa Luzia (beach) is 4km away. Faro is 35 kms (25-30 mins) drive. Cabanas (beach) is 6km away.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit (non-refundable) is payable when booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks before arrival. Payment to be made in full if booking within 8 weeks of arrival. We also ask for a breakages/damage deposit of £100 payable 1 week prior to arrival and refunded 1 week after your stay. In the event of cancellation the following charges apply: up to 8 weeks to arrival - loss of 25% deposit. 8 - 4 weeks to arrival - loss of 50% of fee. Under 4 weeks to arrival - if re-let up to 50% refund.
