Therefore, Casa Santa Lucia with its fenced garden and privately situated pool, walled and gated for child safety, is the perfect family villa to just unwind in peace, to use as a base for a golfing holiday or from which to explore the numerous nearby attractions in the Algarve. Notes on accommodation
Free of charge is a cot with bedding and a High chair. All visitors receive a comprehensive welcome pack of groceries and hot and cold beverages. There is also a safe for visitors use.
Accessibility
Property is on one level with steps leading to the front door.
Outside
Entry through lockable double gates onto a long drive with parking for several cars. The pretty, secure garden has night lighting, shrubs and trees and a large lawn for children of all ages to use.
For really warm days there is plenty of shade on the covered terraces overlooking the garden and pool areas or in the barbeque house with summer kitchen including seating. Steps from the patio lead up to the pool area with private pool and pool shower. This area is very sheltered and private and gated from the patio to enhance toddler’s security.
There are plenty of loungers, shades, tables and chairs.
Coast/Beach
Within a 15 minute drive are many of the beautiful beaches for which the Algarve is renowned, including Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura with its famous marina. All of these have a number of bars and restaurants, and at any time of year empty stretches of beach can always be found. Behind the Faro to Quinta do Lago beaches lies the famous 'Ria Formosa' salt water nature reserve which teams with fascinating wild life. Several hides exist for use by visitors.
Golf
There are many golf courses within 15 minutes. These include Quinta do Lago, Pineros Altos, Vale do Lobo, Vila Sol and Vilamoura's 5 courses. All of the Algarve's many other courses are easily accessible.
Travel
Faro airport is under 15 mins. A car though not essential is strongly recommended. The local 'Algarve Taxis' are reasonably priced.
Distances
Approx distances to Almancil & Loule 5km. 9km to Vale do Lobo & Quinta do Lago. Faro & Vilamoura 12km. Lisbon can be reached in 2 hours on the new motorway. To the East, Spain is 70km, Seville 250km.
The new Algarve Shopping centre can be reached in 15 minutes and Zoomarine in 20 minutes.
Further details
Lively Almancil is only 5 mins away. It has everything - supermarkets, butchers, 2 bakeries with bread and pastries to die for, petrol station, several banks, Internet cafe, boutiques and numerous cafes, bars and restaurants of all types and prices. For those seeking activities a few mins drive reaches 2 water parks, horse riding, tennis, sea water sports and of course the many golf courses.
Within 15 mins is Vilamoura with its huge marina surrounded by cafes, bars, boutiques and fashionable shops of all types.
Loule, the provincial capital, has fine old churches and buildings, many traditional and modern shops and the famous covered market that on Saturdays spills out all over the surrounding streets.
Faro is also interesting as it has a walled city centre within which is the Cathedral, museum, galleries and open square with cafes and restaurants. Many cultural events take place here.
Further west lie the beautiful Monchique mountains and spa of Caldas de Monchique, Silves with its majestic castle, Sagres, Cape Vincent, the Western Atlantic coast and Lisbon. East of Faro is ancient and unspoilt Tavira where the 'Ria Formosa' nature reserve begins. It has fascinating old bridges and buildings, a castle and several churches. A little further on is Spain where the beautiful and massive Guadiana river forms the frontier. Seville is then within reach.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required within 5 days to confirm booking.
The balance is due 6 weeks prior to start date.
As both are non refundable private insurance is strongly recommended. At the same time as the balance is paid a deposit of £250 is due from which the cost of any damage, breakages, losses, etc will be deducted and repaid within 14 days of end of stay. Payment is by cheque or cash only, sorry no cards.
