The villa is built on split levels: the upper ground and entrance level houses the main living areas, 4 bedrooms and a long south facing terraces from which there are splendid views out over villas and hills to the sea. The villa is at the top of an urbanization but, though there are villas either side, it is not overlooked at all and the large roof terrace provides even greater privacy. There are both interior and exterior staircases to the lower level, with large terraces surrounding the swimming pool. On this level there is the 5th bedroom for 3, ideal for youngsters, a part covered terrace with table and chairs, a TV room (with DVD) for relaxing out of the sun and a supply room with a fridge/freezer and cupboard space for poolside drinks and snacks.

Notes on prices
Note: Lots of peak season availability. Special reduced rates. Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. There are extra beds for 3 but for any extra people, over 8, there will be a small extra charge for cleaning/laundry of £25 each.
Changeover day
Because the villa is so late onto the rental market we will accept any changeover day except Sunday. Arrivals should not expect to move into the villa before 14:00 hours. Departure must be by 10:00 hours unless there are no arrivals the same day.

Chest deep freeze (request connection if required). A sink, 2 washing machines and a dryer. Also heat pump for domestic water heating, with an electric booster. |

The spacious living room is divided into 2 with 1 side a dining area and the other the sitting area with sofas, a log burning stove and the satellite TV with DVD and video. Sliding glass doors open onto the long south facing covered terrace. |

Poolside TV room with DVD and with a CD/radio relaying sound out to the pool terrace. Pool service room with fridge and cupboard with supplies for poolside drinks and snacks. |
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: |
Bathroom towels and bed linen is included and will be changed once a week. Beach/pool towels should be bought. There is a house cleaning service twice a week when there are 8 people at the villa. There is a surcharge for extra cleaning when more occupy. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa has been comfortably furnished with families in mind and is not full of valuables to be constantly warned about and watched over. A travel cot, stairgate for the top of the terrace stairs and a child monitor are included on request. There are mosquito screens on all the bedroom windows and a fan in each bedroom.

Outside
The lovely large swimming pool is a rectangular shape (9.5 x 5 metres) and has built-in steps at one end. The shallow end is 1.2m so tinies will not be able to stand here and non-swimmers must be supervised at all times. There are sunbeds for the main party of 8 and various older recliners for «extras»! There is a sheltered covered terrace by the pool with large table and chairs and there is a gas barbecue nearby. Some individual plantings of fruit trees and other local shrubs are beside the villa but there is no lawn or typical English garden!
Coast/Beach
The well-known fine sandy beach of Luz is perhaps a 4 minute drive or a 25 minute walk. The beach of Burgau is just a few minutes further in the other western direction. There are many other beaches in coves along the south coast driving westwards towards Sagres, then turning up the actual west coast there are wilder Atlantic surf beaches which, though lots of fun much care should be taken with tides.
Golf
Parque da Floresta to the west and Bela Vista and Palmares golf courses to the east are all within a 30 minutes drive.
Travel
Faro airport is only an hour's drive away. A car is essential.
Distances
The market and fishing town of Lagos is about 6km away, where there are bustling streets full of entertainers (in the summer) and outside restaurant facilities, some discos, a busy marina and harbour from which fishing and/or sailing trips can be arranged.
Further details
In Luz there are all the usual town facilities from bank to fish and vegetable market and chemist to doctor's surgery. There is a sports centre near Burgau with tennis and squash. Nearer the villa, say a 10 mins jog, is a comprehensive gym, with pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and beauty services. Then at the golf resort of Parque da Floresta about a 20 minute drive away there are further activities. Horse riding is available at various stables in the area.
Booking notes
To book the villa you will be required to complete a booking form and send a deposit of 25% of the total rent. The balance must be paid by 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. There will be a breakage/damage deposit payable on arrival of £300.
