Changeover day
Thursday is the preferred changeover day but we will try to accommodate your needs. Access can be gained after 4pm on arrival and you must vacate the property by 10am on the day of departure. Early arrival and late checkout may be available on request.

Other: The cottage lounge has a double leather sofabed and 32" flat screen TV with cable TV. There is a study in the main villa. Bespoke curtains and blinds throughout.
Bedroom 4 features a wall mounted safe to store your valuables. The property is alarmed.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen and bath towels are included and are changed once a week. Pool towels also included. Cleaning weekly.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is equipped with an environmentally friendly cool house system providing welcome relief from the summer heat and the radiant skirting system provides winter warmth. An information manual detailing amenities, locations, restaurants and children's activities is available in the villa. Please note there will be a highchair and travel cot available from April.

Outside
The villa is set in 3000sqm with beautifully landscaped gardens full of flowering shrubs, palm trees, lemon and orange trees. The back garden is unique to the complex having several different tiers housing a rockery garden, olive trees, lawns with flowering borders, cacti, all set within the most beautiful handmade stone walls. This overlooks an unspoilt view of Natural Park in the distance. There is a large terrace area surrounding the pool with an extendable teak table and chairs seating up to 14 people and a variety of sun loungers. An undercover patio area overlooking the pool provides space to sit quietly and read a book. The pool is 5x10m and can be heated by arrangement. It has a saltwater filtration system and electric cover which can be quickly operated. The property also benefits from an integrated garage with an electric door, keeping the car cool in the summer months.

Coast/Beach
Burgau beach is nearest with its famous Beach Bar offering fresh fish and salads washed down with local beverages You can watch the children play in the sand from the outside terrace. This is a charming fishing village with narrow streets, white washed cottages and little shops selling fresh fruit, vegetables and bakery. You will be spoilt for choice with endless Algarve beaches on your doorstep and, of course, the dramatic west coast is only a 20 minute drive for all your surfing needs.

Golf
The villa is placed between 2 superb courses. Parque da Floresta is a 5 minute drive West and Boa Vista 5-10 minute drive East. Both clubs are open to non-members offering dramatic and challenging courses as well as driving ranges and practice greens, excellent restaurants, tennis and children's facilities. In addition, there are four other courses in an accessible driving distance from the villa.

Travel
With the opening of the new motorway extension to the Western Algarve, the journey from Faro Airport is now a comfortable 60 minute drive.

Lisbon and Seville airport are about 2.5 hours drive, flights to these airports can be a lot cheaper at the peak season.

Car hire is essential in order to make the most of the surrounding area.

Distances
Burgau beach is a 3 min drive and the beautiful marina town of Lagos is 10km. Lagos has a myriad of traditional cafes and shops offering exciting boat trips to nearby fantastic sandstone caves or fishing and dolphin excursions.

Historical Silves and the famous Roman spa town of Monchique are both within a 30 min drive as are some of Euorpe's biggest slide and waterparks and 'Zoomarine' with its stunning dolphin and sea lion shows.

Further details
Budens, a 5 min drive, has a supermarket available and a 24 hour petrol service. Algarve Shopping is a 35 min drive along the A22, with huge superstores and fabulous boutiques.

Open air markets offer colourful sweaters, rugs and shoes and together with the local Pottery shops make an enjoyable visit. There are more sophisticated shops in Lagos and Portimao.

There are so many restaurants within 15 mins drive it is difficult to choose; from sophisticated harbour side or golf course restaurants to charming beachside bars and restaurants serving fresh seafood and a wide range of English and Portuguese dishes for adults and children.

A cash point at Parque da Floresta and banks are in Sagres and Lagos.

Booking notes
A deposit of 30% is required with the balance due 8 weeks prior to departure. A breakage deposit of £200 is payable with the balance and will be fully refunded when your stay is over and everything is in order. Cancellation fees apply should late cancellation occur.
