The villa has a private 6m x 3m pool and terraces all around the property offering shade and sun all day. Spectacular views from the ample main bedroom terrace and the large roof terrace, reaching far over the beach island and lagoons of the Ria Formosa nature reserve. The villa has a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, Sky free-to-view channels, DVD and CD player. Spacious, light rooms and comfortable furniture make for a pleasant stay after sunny days spent on the beach! Tavira is about 7km away and Faro 20km away, good access to reach motorway for water parks, airport and day trips further afield.

Changeover day
Any day for changeover, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Arrivals after 2pm and departures before 10am unless otherwise arranged.
Guests will be met at the villa and will have a contact number in case any assistance is required.

Notes on accommodation
Bedroom 2, 3 and 4 have a bathroom next to them. Air conditioning and large spacious rooms allow for a refreshing accommodation for summer holidays. A beautiful and quiet location during spring, autumn and winter.

Outside
Private pool leading from living room. Terraces in front of house and around pool, garden area with grass. Built-in BBQ beside kitchen and pool, private parking within gated area or outside. Balconies with wonderful far reaching views over the lagoon. Garden furniture for dining, sunbathing and seating with sun umbrellas. The pool is 6x3m and has stairs leading in, the depths are 2.5m and 1.5m.
Coast/Beach
Amongst the selection of many beautiful beaches this part of the Algarve has to offer, Fuzeta beach is a sure family favourite. Being only 1km from the villa, Fuzeta is easily reached and comprises a tidal river bordered with colourful fishing boats and pavement cafes, leading up to the estuary which has a sand beach and beach house where one can catch the small ferry boat which regularly crosses over the small stretch to a large, clean sandy coast. The beaches in this area are all EEC blue flag
Golf
A good base for those interested in golf, with four good courses within 15-20 mins reach from the villa, one smaller course being in the near vicinity. Benamor, 5.500m par 71. Quinta da Cima, 6.250m par 72. Quinta da Ria, 6.100m par 72. Castro Marim, 5,500m par 72. Monte Rei.
Travel
Faro is the nearest airport, a 20 min drive away. Flights to Fronteira de Jerez are available and often cheaper, though car hire is necessary as public transport to Portugal is not easy. Lisbon is around 3.5 hours away and Seville around 2 hours drive. Well worth a visit!
Distances
A good location for family holidays with the beach being so close and driving not essential. Trips by train are easy with the station being within walking distance. All shopping and eating out can be easily done locally.
Further details
Fuzeta has all amenities and Tavira has a good selection of restaurants. Moncarapacho and the hills lie north of the villa. Roman remains can be visited in the nearby village of Estoi.
Large water fun parks are encountered on the main road towards west Algarve, about 60 minutes away. We recommend hiring a car in order to take advantage and visit all the beautiful places and to facilitate shopping.
Tavira is renowned for its 38 historic churches and its four beautiful bridges spanning the Gilao river which divides the town and allows for spectacular riverside views of the medieval town and river life. Numerous cafes and restaurants line the river, public gardens and quiet squares, offering an array of traditional patisseries and fresh fish dishes. The castle walls border the medieval centre of town, encompassing tranquil gardens and a camera obscura. From here scan over the rich tapestry of peaked rooftops to the estuary leading through the mosiac of salt pans and far out into the Atlantic.
Booking notes
We require 50% of the total price as a deposit, to be paid within 2 weeks of reservation.
The balance is due up to 8 weeks before arrival. We will acknowledge arrival of funds by e mail and on payment of the balance, up to 8 weeks prior to arrival; we will send the driving instructions by e mail.
Cancellations: Up to 8 weeks – no cancellation charge. 4-8 weeks – 50% of rate refunded. Less than 4 weeks – no refund.
We require a 300 euros damages deposit, which is refunded on departure.
