Situated on the Costa do Estoril, the area is also referred to as the 'Portuguese Riviera.' The property is situated in a residential area and has been recently refurbished to a standard where guests can enjoy a relaxing and welcoming environment. Cascais is a cosmopolitan seaside town of tree lined promenades with lovely beaches, international marina, restaurants and cafes stocked with a fantastic selection of cakes/pastries. The area offers a variety of attractions.

Coast/Beach
There are a number of smaller beaches in the centre of Cascais. These are within a short walking distance (6 mins). The marina is also located very close to the property and is around a 6 mins walk.
Golf
Portugal is a golfer’s paradise. The Costa do Estoril is the ideal location for golfers with many excellent courses within a short drive. The golf courses of Oitavos, Quinta da Marinha, Quinta da Beloura, Estoril (27 holes) are nearby 5 mins drive. Penha Longa (27 holes), Belas, the Lisbon Sports Club are within a 20 min drive. Within an hour’s drive are Praia D’El Rey, Ribagolfe I and II, St Estavao, Qtª do Peru, Aroeira I and II, Montado and Troia. The Atlântico da Penha Longa course has already been the scene of several European Tour competitions. This hilly course offers broad magnificent views over the countryside that surrounds you with the mountains and the sea. The Quinta da Marinha Oitavos course, the newest in the region, designed by the famous American architect Arthur Hills, is the first course in Europe and the second in the world to have the Audubon International ‘Certified Signature Sanctuary/Gold’. With excellent views over the Palácio da Pena and Cabo da Roca.

Cascais is a cosmopolitan seaside town of tree lined promenades with lovely beaches, international marina, restaurants and cafes stocked with a fantastic selection of cakes/pastries. The area offers a variety of attractions. These include excellent golf courses which are a contrast to the overcrowded Algarve golf courses. The sandy coastline is also home to the largest casino in Europe (Estoril Casino), and enjoys world wide prestige. There are a number of local beaches in Cascais and Estoril. Along the coast there is the world famous Guincho beach which has hosted surfing and wind surfing championships. Situated not far from Cascais is Sintra, classified by UNECSO as a world heritage area. Sintra is a historical town located in the mountains overlooking the sea and is full of unique charm. Take a day trip to Lisbon and discover some of the historical attractions. The best way to get to Lisbon is on the picturesque train ride along the coast.
Travel
Lisbon international airport approx 30 mins drive away. With everything on your doorstep, the house is ideally situated for those wanting to take a break with plenty to do and see but without having to rent a car or walk for long distances. For such visitors, the central train and bus station in Cascais is also a short walk (6 mins) from the house.
