Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Arrival after 3pm (flexible if no guests departing the same day). Departure by 11am (flexible if no guests arriving the same day).

Outside
The house has a large private patio/courtyard (large enough for the kids to play football). There is a covered barbecue area with a patio table and 6 chairs, so even if there is a rain shower you can still cook your Sardines. The house has 2 roof terraces providing stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at Baleal which 5.84 miles away, 10 minutes by car. The long stretches of sand around Peniche and to the north and south of them are all excellent beaches, the majority of which have Blue Flag status. Sao Bernardino, Consolacao, Medao-Supertubos, Cova de Alfarroba, Gamba and Baleal Norte are all Blue Flag beaches but with no disabled access, they do have toilets, parking, bars and restaurants. Baleal Sud is also a Blue Flag beach that has disabled access.
Golf
Only 9 miles away, 15 minutes by car you will find Praia D'El Rey Golf and Country Club. The golf course itself is a links course that stretches out to sand dunes on the seaward side overlooking cliffs and pines. It is an award-winning 18 hole championship golf course designed by American architect Cabell B Robinson.
Also, nearby are Botado: This 9-hole course is an integral part of the Atlântico Golfe Hotel on the sandy beach near to the fishing port of Peniche. Vimeiro: This 9 hole course is attached to the Hotel Golf Mar and is part of their facilities. Golden Eagle: It's known as Quinta do Brinçal or Golden Eagle, this course is located close to the town of Rio Maior.
Travel
Car hire essential. The nearest airport is Lisbon 58.4 miles, approx 1 hours drive. Easy Jet run a daily service to Lisbon at great prices. BMI baby also provide a good service 4 days a week and also offer great deals.
Distances
The house is situated in a small hamlet. The neighbouring village of Atouguia da baleia is 2.23 miles away by car. The Fishing port of Peniche is only 10 minutes drive away. The Medieval castle town of Obidos is only 15 minutes away by car.
Booking notes
A 30% deposit is required to secure the booking with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A £150 refundable damage deposit is also required on arrival.
