Our delightful self catering detached villa is situated in the beautiful town of Almancil, Algarve. Faro airport and Vilamoura Marina are only a 15 mins drive away. It is thus a perfect location for any shopping enthusiast. At affordable prices, this villa is an ideal location for an active holiday, with sports facilities and top of the range golf courses situated near by. The breathtaking beaches of Vale do Lobo are only a short drive away. This 3-bedroom villa with accommodation for 6 people is spacious, comfortable and well furnished, with a balustrade terrace which runs alongside the width of the Villa. The villa has a beautiful secluded garden with private swimming pool and is located within walking distance of excellent restaurants, shops and all amenities.

Changeover day
Changeover days are on a Thursday due to block bookings, but can be flexible out of peak periods. The villa is let from 3.00pm on the arrival date to 10.00am on the date of departure.

On confirmation of booking, directions to the villa will be forwarded to the guest. We would recommend a hire car for guests to fully explore and tour the wonderful coastal areas and nearby villages. The property has plenty of parking facilities within the grounds.
A friendly face will be available at the villa to meet and greet the guests on the day of arrival, welcome the guest, hand over keys and provide any additional information requested.

Outside
There is a pool facing terrace, with a large table, seating and umbrella for shading. There is also a modern barbeque for family entertainment. The pool is approximately 5m x 2.50m and surrounded by relaxing sun lounges for the perfect holiday.
Coast/Beach
The Algarve coastline stretches about 100 miles from the western-most tip to the Spanish border, and as well as being most well known for its expansive and extensive beaches of fine golden sands, you will also find some of the most dramatic cliff faces and rock-formations in the world.
The beach is approx 5km, 10 mins drive away from the villa, with beautiful sandy beaches, cafes and restaurants.
Golf
There are 6 Championship golf courses nearby. They are situated at Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura and all within 20 mins drive of the property.
Travel
Faro airport is approx. 15 minutes from the villa. Car hire is recommended.
Distances
The nearest town of Loule lies to the north of Almancil. It is an active market town with some remains of a castle dating back to the 12th Century. A typically quaint Portuguese town with cobbled streets, Roman ruins, art galleries and also a great place to shop and eat (at local prices).
Faro can be reached by a local train taking only 10 minutes to the town centre.
For a lively evening, head down to Vilamoura Marina where you will find non-stop entertainment, bars and restaurants.
Further details
The small town of Almancil is perfectly pleasant and typical of the Algarve. The neighbouring village of São Lourenço boasts a church decorated with characteristic blue tiles telling the life story of its patron saint.
A stone’s throw from the church is the local centro cultural, which for many years has hosted a range of art exhibitions and musical performances. The local pottery is also widely renowned.
Almancil boasts quality restaurants, excellent golf courses (Vale do lobo and Quinta do Lago) and stylish stores which adorn this seemingly simple market town.
'Apalonia' is the international family owned supermarket where you can buy absolutely anything required! It is 5 minutes by car from the villa, whilst passing pastelarias where the local coffee and cakes are usually enjoyed outside by the locals every day.
Nearby, some of the best riding stables in the Algarve offer treks which take you through stretches of classic Algarve countryside and even along beaches.
Booking notes
Deposits of 30% of the rental charge confirms the booking paid by bank transfer and is non-refundable. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival and should include a refundable damages deposit of £250 (returnable within 14 days if there are no damages or breakages).
