Whilst the property enjoys a peaceful rural setting, amenities are close at hand, within walking distance you will find 3 restaurants, well stocked village shop, post office, and a petrol station 5 min away by car. The Costa Verde has unspoilt scenic areas with its rivers and mountains making it geographically beautiful. With Vila Camelia being only 16 min away from Spain, it is a two country holiday in one. We are situated in the triangle between Vila Nova De Cerveira, Viana Do Castelo and the old roman town of Ponte De Lima, the most renowned towns in the enchanting corner of the Minho region.

Changeover day

Outside
Patio and area around the 10m x 4.5m swimming pool and covered, well equipped barbecue area finished of with tiles and granite. Large granite table and seats, smaller table and chairs, sun loungers, umbrellas, also outside shower and sink.
Coast/Beach
Moledo 25km away from Covas has the best beaches, where you can also windsurf. The Minho River estuary beaches are another relaxing option, short walking distance from the accommodation there is a small leisure area equipped with picnic sites and barbecue, toilets and is a good spot to fish.
Golf
The nearest golf course is situated in Ponte De Lima approximately 30 mins drive away.
Travel
A hire car is essential to fully enjoy this diverse region, Porto airport is 1.5 hours from Covas.
Distances
Covas to V.N.Cerveira 16km which has a good selection of restaurants, bars and cafes. The friendship Bridge will take you across to Spain. You can catch a train travel to Caminha, Viana do Castelo, Oporto and Spain. Market day in Cerveira is Saturday. Ponte de Lima 28km. This handsomely restored and photogenic town springs to life every other Monday when a vast market sprawls along the riverbanks, it has an 18 hole golf course, and is a must to walk over the 31 arched bridge.

Viana do Castelo is 38km away from Covas, renowned for its multitude of good festivals, market day is Friday. Barcelos 70km away from Covas an open heart medieval town, market day Thursday, Valenca 25 km away from Covas with its cobbled ancient shops within the fortress market day Wednesday. The modest spa town of Moncao 40km is well known for its good food and Vinho Verde green wine. Many more places to visit to much to mention. Back to Covas, don't forget the 3 family owned restaurants which serve good quality food at a very reasonable price, the village has 2 local shops where you can buy the basic necessities, post office and cashpoint, also a petrol station.

Booking request can be made by e mail or phone, we accept UK pounds. We will supply banking details at the time of booking. We require 100 pounds sterling, non-refundable deposit upon booking and the balance 1 month before arrival.
