Changeover day
We try to be very flexible with changeover days and accommodate our guests on arrival and departure of their flights. Usual times for the villa are: 10am on day of departure. 4pm on day of arrival. Will confirm times by e-mail prior to arrival.

Notes on accommodation
Children welcome, suitable for elderly. The villa is on 3 floors with the main accommodation on the ground floor and first floor. The swimming pool is on the lower ground floor with patio area and reached by the steps leading into the garden or via the cave/garage. First floor bedrooms have balconies with bedroom 1 and 2 having sea and island views. Mosquito nets at all windows.

Accessibility
Inside of property suitable for wheelchair access. Main entrance has 1 step to gate access and 1 step to the front door. No access to the swimming pool for wheelchairs.
Outside
Beautiful, newly built very spacious villa with stunning sea views and Tavira island views. The villa is approached by a self locking gate, front and side gardens which take you down a flight of steps to your own private pool 9x4m swimming pool. There are balconies and patios in abundance to make sure you soak up every last ray of sunshine and with commanding views from the ground floor and second floor. Ample space for the children to play and grown ups to relax. BBQ with built in area and sink, directly off the kitchen for ease of cooking. You will not want to move a muscle and will go home tanned and relaxed.
Coast/Beach
Tavira Island is the more lively of a selection of beautiful beaches in the area. Reached by a small ferry boats and aqua taxis that travel up the Gilao river dotted with many colourful and traditional fishing boats and yachts. The island has a good choice of restaurants and bars. it is more than a day on the beach it is an experience not to be missed. Quieter less populated beaches can be reached by car, miniature train and on foot at Santa Luzia, all belonging to the Ria Formosa nature reserve
Golf
5 minutes car drive away are Benamor, Quinta De Cima, Quinta De Ria. Beautifully maintained golf courses, par 72, around 5,500 - 6110m, 18 hole well situated with coastal views. Monte Rei now tipped to be the best course in Europe within 2 years only 11 minutes drive. Castro Marim and the new Quinta De Vale (to be opened soon) are only 20 minutes drive. Vilamoura and Quinta De Lago are only 30 minutes drive away. Spain is 30 minutes on Isla Canela don't forget 1 hour in front. Discounted green fees available.
Travel
30km and 30 minutes from Faro airport. Car hire is not essential, though an advantage for seeing all the beauty and places of interest this region has to offer. Tavira has all the amenities and a vast choice in good restaurants, bars and pavement cafes. Divided by a small river crossed by pedestrian and Roman bridges. Tavira remains an authentic and charming tapestry of old and new.
Distances
A 15 minute stroll brings you to the west of the river with charming bars and restaurants. To the east are churches, and a castle. Choice of 6 supermarkets supply ample fresh produce, with the local fish, meat and vegetable market not to be missed. Traditional working fishing villages boast excellent fish restaurants bordering Tavira.
Further details
Not to be missed is the trip over the Guardiana river to Spain and Ayamonte, 25 minutes by car. Seville is only 1 hour and 30 minutes away. If you do not want to go by car, then catch the train to Vila Real De Santo Antonio and catch the ferry to Spain. There is a train stop near to the villa where you can catch the train along the Algarve. Cacela Velha and Fabrica are not to be missed the views rival the Bahamas only 10 minutes drive away.
