The centre of Salema is just a few minutes walk away. This picturesque fishing village retains much of its traditional charm and boasts a handful of shops, local bars and not surprisingly fabulous seafood restaurants. Voted one of the top ten golf courses on the Algarve, Parque da Floresta golf course is less than five minutes drive away where occupants enjoy a 30% discount on green fees.

Coast/Beach
Overlooking a beautiful sandy beach within 5 minutes walk. The idyllic sandy beaches of the south coast contrast with the dramatic surfing beaches of the west coast, which can be reached in as little as 15 minutes. Trips to caves, grottos and dolphin viewing can easily be found in Lagos.
Golf
30% discount on the award winning Parque da Floresta golf course which is 5 minutes from the house. Many other golf courses (Boavista, Palmares and Penina) within a short distance. Guests staying at The View can also enjoy the other sporting and leisure opportunities at Parque da Floresta Golf & Leisure Resort (just 5 minutes by car), including children's activities in school holidays.
Travel
Faro international airport is 1 hour's drive.
Distances
Budens village has a well stocked supermarket, bakery, petrol station, cash point and restaurant and is less than 5 minutes down the main road from Salema. The old town of Lagos is 20 mins drive to the east with its many restaurants, covered market, shops, marina and museum.
Further details
The fishing village Sagres is 20 min to the west with its wonderful restaurants, beaches and fort. Cabo de St Vicente, the most westerly point of Europe with its lighthouse, stunning cliffs and spectacular sunsets is just 25 mins drive.
