Changeover day
Flexible. We ask guests to arrive if possible after 16.00 hours and to vacate the property up to 11.00 am to give us time to prepare the property for the next guests.

Notes on accommodation
The property is suitable for children, but the swimming pool is not fenced, requiring the normal parental vigilance of toddlers. No pets allowed.

Accessibility
The ground floor (living room, dining room, kitchen, twin bedroom and bathroom) is suitable for wheelchairs.
Outside
Landscaped garden, barbecue, outdoor furniture. The swmming pool, surrounded by a well-kept lawn, is for the exclusive use of guests. The fenced property, with 14,000 sq.m., is ideal for walks. The night sky is breathtaking.
Coast/Beach
The well known Silver Coast beaches are about 45 minutes drive.
Golf
One golf course (Golden Eagle) is 30 mins drive and another one, near the medieval town of Obidos, is 50 minutes drive away.
Travel
Lisbon airport is 1 hour and 30 minutes away (about 100 km). As the property is located about 2km from the nearest village (Alcanede) the use of a car (hired or otherwise) is essential.
Distances
Alcanede, the closest main village, is 2km away. Santarém, a beautiful gothic town, is 30km away and Lisbon 100km away. The Holy Shrine of Fatima is at a distance of 50km (about 45 minutes drive). The medieval town of Obidos is about 45km away as is the beatiful gothic monument of Batalha. The fishing villages of Peniche and Nazaré, with beautiful sandy beaches, are also 1 hour drive away. The caves in Serra d'Aire, with its underground rivers and lakes, are well worth a visit.
Further details
Alcanede. 2km away, has all the modern facilities, including internet access, banks, post office, medical centre, pharmacy, supermarket, cafés and restaurants. Santarém, the so-called Portuguese Gothic Capital, on a short 30 minute drive, is well worth a visit for its gothic churches, riverside walks and gastronomy. We will provide our guests with all the tourist information available for the region.
