Located in the traditional Portuguese village of Chaos Das Donas, the apartment is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Algarve. The village itself has a few local bars, restaurants and several supermarkets. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a balcony, a lounge area with sofabed and a fully fitted kitchen. Oásis Parque is just a 40 mins drive from Faro Airport. Just 5 mins drive east is the cosmopolitan town Portimão. Historically a major port offering lively waterfront restaurants, excellent shopping and a large bustling market, a newly developed marina has transformed this old harbour town. The nearest beaches (all within a few minutes) are found at the old fortress town of Praia da Rocha, picturesque Praia do Vau and the beautiful fishing village of Alvor. As one of Europe's prime golfing destinations, the choice is excellent. 4 courses are within the immediate vicinity, Palmares, Penina, Alto and Pinta, with the new Boavista resort a mere 20 mins drive.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday, but due to scheduled flights arriving everyday, other days will be considered. Check out time is 10.00am. (late check outs may be available -

Bathrooms: Fully tiled spacious bathroom with bath/shower over, hand basin, wc and bidet.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard inc gas/electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, iron, toaster, toastie maker, washing machine, microwave, baby steriliser. The kitchen leads to the dining area with dining table which seats up to 6.
Utility Room: The apartment has an outside utility area which houses a clothes maiden and various items, such as beach equipment.
Living Rooms: The large sitting/dining room is comfortably furnished as a family room and dining area. This area has 2 chairs and a sofabed which sleeps 2 people. The TV has freeview television (UK channels BBC and ITV), DVD player and several fans.
Other: The spacious dining are has a dining table (seats up to 6) and leads to kitchen and the outside utility area. The a fans in each of the rooms and also (if required) heaters for the winter months.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Hand towels and linen provided. The apartment is cleaned weekly with a change of linen and towels. Guests must provide own beach towels and extra bath towels.

 

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is extremely spacious and well equipped. It is very suitable for a family. It is a safe and secure apartment with pull down shutters. Guests are requested not to smoke in the apartment. The staff at reception all speak fluent English and are extremely helpful.

Accessibility
The apartment is an end apartment on the 1st floor and unfortunately, due to their not being a lift, it is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Outside
The apartment is an end apartment and is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens. The area at the side and back belongs to the apartment and guests are able to make full use of the outside area for BBQs etc.
The Oasis Parque Leisure Complex is a major selling feature. It is reserved exclusively for guests and residents, accessible only by swipe card, so it is very secure for families. The complex is maintained to an extremely high standard with landscaped gardens. The complex has a new 18 metre heated indoor pool with Jacuzzi, showers and excellent changing facilities. The beautiful large outdoor pool has extensive (free) sunloungers and parasols. There is a children's pool and a shaded baby pool. there are 2 tennis courts (rackets are available to hire at reception), and the pool bar restaurant providing high quality meals, snacks and beverages. Here you will find a separate seating area with pool table, ping pong and table football.

Coast/Beach
Oasis Parque has excellent access to the E125 and the new A22 motorway, making it an ideal tourist base. It is a few minutes drive to the beautiful beaches at Alvor, Praia Da Rocha and Praia Du Vau. The traditional town of Lagos is a 15 minute drive and the charming fishing village of Carvoeiro is a similar distance. Car hire is recommended but not essential. A regular bus service stops just outside the complex and a choice of restaurants, bars and supermarkets are in walking distance.

Golf
Alto - 10 mins.
Penina - 5 mins.
Morgao/Alamos - 10 mins.
Vale da Pinta - 15 mins.
Palmares - 15 mins.
Boavista - 20 mins.
The resort of Vilamoura, with its extensive golf courses is a 30 minute drive. All other courses located in Central and Western Algarve are within 1 hour's drive.

Travel
Faro airport is approx. 40 mins drive. Car hire is recommended but not essential. As stated there is a regular bus service to Alvor, Portimao/Praia Da Rocha and Lagos.
There are many things to do on the Algarve, Aqua Marine is a 30 mins drive and the water park is just a mere 15 mins drive.
Local taxis are reliable and cheap. Taxis from the complex can be ordered at reception or the pool bar. Expect to pay approx. 5/6 euros to the town centres.

Portimao retail park - 5 min drive (1km).
Waterpark Lagoa - 15 min drive.
Lagos - 15 min drive.
Lisbon - approx. 2 hours drive.
Spanish border - Approx. 1 hour - 1.5hrs drive.
Zoo Marine - 25 mins.
Silves Castle, St Vincents Cape, wine tasting in the Monchique mountains.
There are many agents and tour operators in the villages and centres which specialise in day trips.
