Villa Sol e Sal (Sun and Salt) is a brand new townhouse in a stylish new suburb of Tavira, with modern architecture and very fancy furniture. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a wide living/dining room with fireplace, a courtyard with a swimming pool on the ground floor. On the first floor there are bedrooms (one of them en suite). On second floor is a study with a sofabed, the laundry and a big terrace with amazing views over Ria Formosa and the sea. Near to a complex of shops (still in construction), the health centre and at walking distance to the traditional market and downtown where you can enjoy a drink in the terrace cafés. Tavira is one of the most beautiful cities of Algarve. Open sea beaches are on the barrier islands and one of them is for naturists.

The house actually has 5 bedrooms, but one is closed. 2 of the bedrooms have a double bed, 1 has twin beds and the study a sofabed. One of the bedrooms is en suite. |

On ground floor there is a service toilet. First floor there is a nice bathroom with bathtub to serve 2 bedrooms and the en suite bathroom with shower. On second floor there is another bathroom with shower. |

The kitchen has everything you need: hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster etc. |
| Living Rooms: |
The living room is large with one side for lazing in modern black leather sofas, watching the plasma TV. A fireplace for winter. On the other side a set for dinner. |

Coast/Beach
The house is a short drive to either Tavira or Santa Luzia ferries (to the islands where you have huge sandy beaches). Most of the Eastern Algarve is separated from open sea with a line of barrier islands. One of these beaches is an official nudist beach. Explore the islands walking around. The beaches are under surveillance.
Golf
Golf courses galore, the closest one, Benamor, is 10 minutes drive.
Travel
Faro airport is at 20 minutes drive. Car hire is recommended unless you do not want to go around. Spain is 15-20 minutes drive to Ayamonte and less than 2 hours to Seville (free motorway). Lisbon is around 3 hours (toll). Alentejo, the next province, is nice to visit the vineyards. A tour along the Ria Formosa is recommended.

Faro is at 30km. Albufeira at 65km.
Further details
Tavira is a beautiful small city that many ex-pats love. It used to be a city for where the Portuguese Kings deported unfriendly or suspected nobles. This gave a more monumental character to the city when compared with the other Algarvian towns. The river front is full of restaurants and terrace cafes to enjoy a meal al fresco. For shopping, Faro and Albufeira (Guia mall) is recommended.
