Two bedroom recently renovated cottagewith private pool in genuine rural village. The house has plenty of space around it and is not overlooked, but does enjoy beautiful views over the village center to the hills beyond. We have more pictures available, please don't hesitate to ask us.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros. There are no extra charges for linen, towels or stretchers nor for electricity, water or gas. Washing machine is also free. In fact there are no hidden extras charged.
Changeover day
Although we are flexible on changeover days, as long as you keep us informed, in general the house will be available from 6pm on day of arrival and is to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
Wonderful for children as the pool is excellent for them to have plenty of fun and to swim with the 1.50m depth. Enclosed garden means your children can play safely while you stretch out on the sun lounger. All rooms have windows and can be ventilated.
Outside
Terrace with table and chairs right outside the kitchen and close to the pool. Superb rooftop terrace with far-reaching views (great for sunbathing). Sun loungers are provided.
Coast/Beach
The Silver Coast at Figuera de Foz, with its beautiful uncrowded beaches, is a 50 min drive away. There are many unspoilt seaside towns along the coast with long sandy beaches great for surfing and romance. Nearby (10 min drive) there are excellent fluvial beaches (Praia das Rocas (large man-made lake with wave-machine), with safe swimming, restaurants and picnic areas with BBQ facilities.
Travel
2 hours' drive from both Lisbon and Porto airport. You better have a car as there are many interesting things to see in a radius of 100km. The nearest intercity rail stations are at Coimbra and Pombal with frequent fast services to both Lisbon and Porto. Very convenient cheap and punctual schedules.
Distances
Distance to Coimbra (is a must to visit) 60km / ¾ hour drive. Beaches 70km / 50 min drive. Distance to both Porto and Lisbon 180km / 1 hour and 40 min drive. Tomar (also a must to visit) 40km / 50 mins drive.
Further details
Walking distance for basic items and cafe. Every morning and late morning the bakery man passes by. 7 min drive to the nearest supermarkets (3), bakeries and butchers.
There are many attractions and much to do in this area of Portugal, including hill walking, canoeing, jeep/quad safaris, mountain biking and road cycling, sightseeing and bird watching.
For those interested in Roman history there is Conimbriga, Portugal's most extensively excavated Roman remains and Rabacal, with its famous cheese, are close by. Tomar with its charming old streets and beautiful little shops and great restaurants overlooked by the Convento de Cristo, founded in 1162 by the Knights Templar. I can visit these places nearly every week without getting bored.
