The villa is well located to enable you to sample all the Algarve has to offer but also to see some of The Real Portugal. It’s in Monchique, an area classed as one of outstanding beauty. The property offers the advantages of a beautiful quiet location with good access, within 30 mins drive of beaches, all tourist attractions and golf. The property is suited for family holidays and for those who don't wish to be amongst the hustle and bustle of seaside resorts day and night. You are welcome to wander around the land, picking the fruit to make a freshly squeezed juice for your breakfast or as a garnish to sizzling barbecued food. The trees are lemons, orange, pomegranates, figs, tangerines and walnuts. Oranges and lemons fruit most of the year round. Pomegranates and Walnuts ripen in the Autumn. The white building only houses the washing machine in an extra bathroom. Prices are reasonable so not only families can enjoy but couples are not paying extortionate prices for just 2 people.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible to suit you and your flights.
Arrival after 2pm but flexible out of peak season. Departure by 11am but also flexible out of peak season.

Accessibility
There 10 steps which are reasonably wide to reach the entrance door. The internal stairs would not be suitable for those who have difficulties with stairs but the lounge could be reached by going outside down the 10 patio steps and in through the lounge door.
Outside
Barbecue, 2 sun loungers, table seating up to at least 6 people each. Private pool which is 3Mtrs X 3Mtrs which is great for cooling off in and children playing in but not big enough for serious swimming.
Coast/Beach
25 to 30 minutes drive from the Algarve's resort beaches at Praia da Rocha and Alvor or the quieter family and surfing beaches of western coast of the Algarve at Arrifana and Monte Clerigo.
Golf
Within 20 minutes drive of nearest golf course and more with 45 minutes drive.
Special interest holidays
From October 2008 it will be within about 25 minutes drive of the new Formula one racing circuit toward Portimao
This circuit will host Formula 1, Superbike and other top world class events but will not be in ear shot when you are at the house.
Travel
1 hours drive from Faro Airport via Motorway and then direct A road to Monchique.
Distances
4 kms from Monchique Town Centre with regular festivals.
2 kms form Foia, the highest point in the Algarve.
7 kms from Spa resort of Caldas de Monchique.
20 kms from Portimao, a large coast town with market, harbour, superb fresh fish restaurants, boat trips and excursions, festivals and outdoor shows.

Our family stayed here, I'm obviously looking because I would like to go back. If you want an authentic Portuguese holiday be part of village life then visit here and the restaurant up the hill. The local town is surperb, friendly and accommodating. The local market is both interesting and authentic. Most places of interest can be reached in a day no Tesco's on your doorstep although everything you could need is in the next town down the hill. Up in the hills the views.
