In the middle of the naturepark Costa Vincentina is our wonderful, totally renewed apartment. In Figueira this small and unspoilt Portuguese village you can relax totally and find your inner peace. Also a fantastic base to explore the dramatic coastlines and the wonderful sandy beaches (next so some minutes walking distance). Here, on a small cul-du-sac it's also safe for kids, they can play here safely. The next, wonderful sandy beach is reachable by walk, so in 10 minutes and is surrounded by the dramatic cliffs of this part of the Algarve. Here you can still meet the fisherman or the old farmer on his horse riding to his fields. And in the middle from this all the apartment, totally renewed on high standard with terracotta floor, new light bathroom, wonderful wooden build-in wardrobe in the bedroom and fitted kitchen. The garden with all garden furniture that you could need for total relaxation. In the winter with floor-heating.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach to the apartment is Figueira beach (8 mins by walk) which is accessed via a path down through the naturepark. The next beach is Salema, the small fishing village, which is also famous for its amazing sunsets which can be viewed from the cliff top or over a glass of white wine from the beach restaurant/bar.
Golf
The nearest golf course is Parque da Floresta (1km or 2 minutes by car). Numerous other courses between Vila do Bispo and Lagos/Faro.
Travel
Faro airport is 90km away on the motorway which is accessed from Lagos. Car hire is recommended and is very cheap, especially if booked online.
Distances
Sagres beaches and fort are 16km (15 minutes by car). Spectacular cliff views and historic 18th century lighthouse at Cabo Sao Vicente, the most south-westerly point of Europe, 20km. Lagos is 17km (15 minutes by car). Salema fishing village and beach is so 2 minutes by car. 'Aqualand' waterpark is 30km (35 mins by car).
Further details
In Figueira you can find two good traditional restaurants, a small supermarket and everything what you need for your daily life.
In Salema you find restaurants, car-hire, Shops and in Vila do Bispo (5km) you can find everything else (bank, post office, pharmacy, butcher and a daily fresh fish and fruit market).
Activities include all watersports, scuba-diving, fishing, spectacular nature walks, mountain biking, horse riding and birdwatching, all within 15 minutes by car. Numerous unspoilt sandy beaches and coves 5 -15 minutes by car.
Booking notes
25% deposit is required to confirm the booking, with the balance normally due not later than 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday date. For bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday, full payment is required at the time of the booking. Euros accepted. Payment into German or Portuguese bank.
