Coast/Beach
Lisbon is well known for the Atlantic ocean beach. With the train or bus you can reach all nice beaches of Lisbon cost in less then 40 minutes. Estoril, Cascais, Caparica or Sesimbra a litle bit more to the south (with car). There's a long walk by the river near to the EXPO area so as near Belem.
Travel
20 minute taxi ride to airport. To move around the city the better options are: bus, subway and the trams that takes you to most important historical neighborhoods and places; Castelo, Graça, Praça da Figueira, Belem, Estrela, Bairro Alto. No need to rent a car if your plan is to visit the town!
