This luxury 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment is in the luxury development by Domus Iberica, a mixture of apartments and villas on the edge of the small fishing village of Burgau, which is situated about one hour’s easy drive west of Faro airport. The apartment is of high quality and is beautifully furnished and enjoys the use of the pool plus gym, spa, bar and the restaurant of the resort’s private club area. The village centre is a short walk away; it offers a good selection of shops and each morning the fisherman sell their freshly caught fish and grocers sell their local produce. At the bottom of the village is a lovely sandy beach. Within strolling distance of the apartment are a dozen delightful restaurants, including one on the beach itself. More than two dozen golf courses are within an hour’s drive, the nearest being the Boa Vista course only 10 minutes to the east and Parque da Floresta just 10 mins to the west. Tennis and horse riding are also available nearby.

Notes on accommodation
Electrically operated shutter/blinds. Highly secured property all doors/windows. The apartment enjoys both heating and air-conditioning. The floors are terracotta tiled with rugs in the living room and each bedroom. All the furniture is new and of high spec. * No pets/ No smoking.
Outside
Exclusive clubhouse with facilities including bar, restaurant, swimming pool, fully fitted gym, sauna and steam room and jacuzzi. The apartment's balcony has a table and chairs and BBQ. Our private roof terrace is large and offers panoramic views of the sea and the village. Sun loungers, hammock, table and chairs are provided.
Coast/Beach
Burgau Beach is a beautiful sheltered sandy beach and is within 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment. Just a short drive away further west there are many unspoilt and unpopulated beaches - Zavial, Ingrina. To the east is Praia de Luz and Lagos which are popular.
Golf
The Western Algarve benefits from a perfect climate for golf in the autumn and spring. Burgau has 3 locally situated courses all within a 10 to 15 minute drive. Parque da Floresta is one of Europe's most spectacular golf courses. Parque De Flores is one of those rare courses, which will stretch your skills to their limits. Palmares is located near Meia Praia beach and enjoys stunning views over the Ocean towards Lagos. Boavista located just 10mins drive away is a 18 hole championship course situated in an area of outstanding beauty. Just a 30 minute drive away is Penina, which was the first golf course built in the Algarve and has been the home to several of the Portuguese Open Championships.
Special interest holidays
Located next to the natural park, there are many beautiful cliff top walks. Surfing is very popular in this part of the Algarve with excellent beaches provided. There are many surf schools offering courses in this area.
Travel
Faro airport is a little over one hour's drive to the east. The A22 motorway makes the journey easy. Car hire is recommended although the bus and taxi services are very good and reasonable. Car hire companies at good rates can be provided.

Lagos - 10 minutes drive/Cape Saint Vincent - 30 minutes drive/Alvor 30 Minutes drive/Albufeira - 35/40 minutes drive.
Further details
The coast of the Algarve generally runs east-west and is sculpted into bays and coves. This shelters the beaches in this area from the seas and the breezes of the Atlantic. But less than 20 miles drive to the west is Cape St.Vincent, the “End of the World” headland, and beyond that - where the coast turns abruptly north-south and the winds and seas become more bracing - you’ll find the surfers’ beaches with their fabulous sand and spiky sea-honed rocks. The rugged terrain that faces the Atlantic Ocean is dramatic. Back from the coast lie the Monchique mountains with their spas, their wine and their huge panoramic views. The Foia peak, at over 800 metres, is the highest point in the Algarve. A trip to these places is highly recommended. Activities: for sun-lovers, the beaches along this part of the coast will prove irresistible, with their gorgeous sand and their blue-green water. For nature-lovers, a dolphin watching trip on a fast rigid-inflatable boat from Lagos marina is a must (a trip early in the day is often best, when the waters are at their calmest). Further to the east, from the banks of the river in Portimao, a small Viking-style boat will take you up the river to the ancient town of Silves, with its fort and churches. The marshland you pass on the way is home to many of the local storks; they will often spiral up into the sky in great swirling squadrons as the boat passes. Horse riding is available less than 10 minutes’ drive away. Burgau itself has a multi-sport complex with tennis, squash and a number of other activities being available. Good selection of local restaurants and bars. Large supermarkets at Luz and Lagos. Very popular for water sports, surfing, scuba diving, fishing, Golf and walking holidays.

For use of the gym/spa and pool a 30EURO deposit for the key is paid locally and returned at end of your stay when pass is redeemed.
