The house is situated in a quiet rural cul-de-sac just minutes from the local villages of Santo Isidoro and Ribamar with its fantastic selection of restaurants, fish and seafood being their speciality. The house is approx 40 mins from Lisbon and its airport and within easy reach of the stunning attractions of Sintra, Cascais, Estoril and many golf courses. The Lisbon coast is a world renowned surfing region and has an abundance of beautiful beaches several of which are in close proximity.

Changeover day
Changeover is normally restricted to Saturdays, but some flexibility may be possible. Guests are normally unable to gain access to the villa until 4pm on the day of arrival and must be prepared to vacate by 10am.

linen/maid service:
Towels and linen are provided although we request that you bring beach towels for use by the pool or on the beach. The cleaner will visit at the end of every week and the linen will be changed by prior arrangement.

Notes on accommodation
The house has underfloor heating in the majority of rooms.

Accessibility
The house is split over 3 floors and there is a bedroom on the ground floor with a bathroom opposite for those who do not feel comfortable with stairs. The pool and gardens can also be accessed via the drive or the side of the house again avoiding flights of stairs, although there are 3 outside steps.

Outside
The pool is heated and is surrounded by a ‘decking style’ patio equipped with sun loungers for 10 people, plus a parasol which can be moved to your preferred spot. There is a separate covered pegoda style dining area with a large table, and 10 chairs, close to the BBQ and kitchen. Another smaller table and chairs is on the first floor terrace with a staircase down to the pool area which has a gate at the top.

Coast/Beach
The Lisbon Coast has spectacular beaches and is a truly dramatic section of the Atlantic coastline. Many of the beaches nearby are world renowned by surfers. The villa is situated 500m from the sea as the crow flies, but the steep inclines would usually necessitate a car. The nearest beach being Riberia D'IlHais which is a 3 min drive away. Most of the local beaches offer free parking, small bars or beachside restaurants. The beaches are very clean and ideal for families to enjoy.

Golf
Golf is widely enjoyed within the region, with the Praia del Rey course, ranked no. 1 in Portugal by Peugeot's 2003 guide and 13th best in Europe by Golf World being just one of the 14 courses within an 18-80km range of the villa. This includes courses at Estoril, Torres Vedras and Peniche.

Travel
The villa is well-placed for access to the motorway network. Lisbon airport is approx 40 mins drive and is well-served by both scheduled and low cost airlines. Direct flights to Lisbon are available from Manchester, Gatwick, Luton and Birmingham. Alternative airports are Faro and Porto, both about 300km away. Car hire is highly recommended, although there is a bus stop at the end of the road.

Distances
Nearest villages are Santo Isidoro and Ribamar which are 2 mins away by car. Ericeira is 7 mins away by car and is a larger town with a very pretty cobbled pedestrian centre with numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. There are several supermarkets within the surrounding area.

Further details
Internet access is available via 3g dongle available to hire locally ( deposit required). Beach and pool towels also available to hire locally for duration of your stay 5euros each plus 10 euro deposit.

Security, damages and deposit of £400 required for each booking, fully refunded after departure inspection - within 2 weeks after departure.
