Art House (Tempo da Musica)

Located in the tree lined church square in the cobble streets of the villa of Cascais. Ideal base for golfers or a romantic getaway for two. This beautifully appointed studio apartment consists of a very large bedroom, a full bathroom and small kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. A further four places are possible by booking “Lugares da Memoria” as well.

Art House (Lugares da Memoria)

Accommodation consists of a double bedroom, bathroom with french door onto private sun patio, open plan living room & kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator and washing machine. A further two places are possible in the “Tempo da Música”. Spacious rooms have been restored to the highest standard. Stylish decor is modern. Restful rooms are filled with contemporary art by the owner, offering tranquillity and calm.

Notes on accommodation
Both apartments have heating. In order to maintain the tranquility that is offered in this tree lined cobble square, the rooms are not furnished with a television/DVD player. We can however provide one if necessary, please just ask us.
Very close to all amenities including restaurants, bars & Portuguese cafés. Beautiful sandy beaches, the marina, promenades and purpose built cycle paths are just 10 minutes' walk.

Outside
Set in the heart of Cascais in the cobble stone church square. The local meeting place in Cascais (Largo do Camoes) is just steps away, where you can enjoy alfresco meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Close by are the picturesque and extensive gardens of the Parque de Gandarinha, where you will find mature exotic trees. A car is not necessary, as the train and bus stations are close to hand, allowing you to be exploring Lisbon within 30 minutes.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach in the Bay of Cascais is 600m from the property; other beaches on the Cascais/Estoril coast are within easy walking distance 10 to 15 minutes along the promenade. A few mins drive away is the magnificent, spectacular Guincho coastline, with sandy beaches and rocky coves or towards Lisbon is the alternative popular surfing beach of Carcavelos.

Golf
Ideally situated for golfers within 10 minutes drive of several golf courses.
There are 8 excellent golf courses within a 20 min drive from Cascais.
The golf courses of Oitavos, Quinta da Marinha, Quinta da Beloura, Estoril (27 holes) are nearby all within 10 to 15 minutes drive.
Penha Longa (27 holes), Belas, the Lisbon Sports Club are within a 20 to 30 min drive.
Around an hour’s drive are Praia D’El Rey, Ribagolfe I & II, St Estavao, Qtª do Peru, Aroeira I & II, Montado and Troia golf courses.
The Atlântico da Penha Longa course has already been the scene of several European Tour competitions. This hilly course offers broad magnificent views over the countryside that surrounds you with the mountains and the sea. The Quinta da Marinha Oitavos course, the newest in the region, designed by the famous American architect Arthur Hills, is the first course in Europe and the second in the world to have the Audubon International ‘Certified Signature Sanctuary/Gold’.

Travel
Nearest airport is Lisbon Airport at approximately 30km. Monarch, Easyjet, TAP, and British Airways all fly into Lisbon.
A car is not necessary, as the train station is a 5-minute walk. The train takes you into Lisbon (32 mins) via Estoril, in clean, modern air-conditioned trains - which are not expensive & always on time!

Sintra, a world heritage site is just 20 minutes from Cascais.
Évora, a world heritage site is around 2 hours and Obidos is about 1 hour.
Fátima is about 1 hour.
Algarve coast is around 2.5 hours
Seville is around 4 hours

The local village is on the doorstep so that you have every imaginable facility within easy access. Shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, train and bus station, pharmacy, etc

A security deposit of 250.00Euros will be required with final payment, which will be returned within a week of departure.
25% Deposit payment to secure booking.

Cleaning costs, linen & bathroom towels included.
Rental of highchair and/or cot per week: €15 each.
