From the house you can explore the shops in the cobbled walkways and stop for coffee, snacks or a bottle of wine and a meal at the many and various cafes and restaurants, serving everything from pizzas to fantastically fresh seafood. Prices here are not as high as other parts of the Algarve – coffee and a cake will cost little more than 2 euros and you can enjoy lunch for 2 with a bottle of wine for less than 15 euros. With the seafront so close by, you can reach the main promenade in less than 2 minutes. Ferries from the harbour take you to the traffic free islands of Armona, Culatra and Farol, which, with their beautiful sandy beaches are surely one of Europe’s best kept secrets.
